Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Riverside

On 12/3/24 My fiancé and I put in an order pretty big order, not huge. He comes back to the house and I Look at the Receipt and look at my bank account... And realize they tacked on 10 extra dollars onto my order. If I wouldn't have checked my bank account I'd never would have known that they were stealing from their customers. They were rude because he came in at Seven thirty In the evening. They were not busy So that's no excuse as a matter of fact. When he walked in, they were wiping everything down the walls, the oven. The area where they cook the food. Which could very well could be sidework and I understand that because I've been in the industry for close to 20 years. So why the hell did they charge me 10 extra dollars for our dinner? Our our total total came to$ 45.40, but my account said $54.48. And the woman Was insistent on the fact that we can't tip. Well, I know that to be a lie because I actually worked for a Penn station for a short period of time. So I know for a fact that you can get a tip so what do You All think happened? I will keep everyone posted The manager herself said she was Going to call corporate herself and find out what happened? I told her no, but I would call corporate. Whoever the girl on the phone was must be mentally very slow. This is how the phone call went that made every person listening laugh: My dad said the order is for Scott and the girl goes “Jack?” And he said “no Scott.” And she goes “how do you spell that???” And he nice and slow spelled “s c o t t” and she goes “how do you pronounce that? Scatt?” And he said “yeah” hoping to just get to ordering and ignore the fact she is obviously incompetent. Who pronounces “Scott” “scatt” He ordered two Philly cheese steak subs and she said “ok” and an Italian sub and she said “ok” and a club sandwich and she said “ok” and two large orders of fries” she said ok. He politely asked her if she could repeat the whole order to make sure we got everything and this girl SERIOUSLY said “a steak and club and fries” he chuckled and said it was two Philly cheese steaks and she said “I know” and he goes “did you get the Italian?” And she said yeah. That is so hilarious to me like wtffff. Then we get our sandwiches and as always there are missing items supposed to be on the sandwiches. Terrible service my order was called in the phone rang for four minutes before someone answered I expected them to be busy. they said 10 to 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and I waited in line at the pickup window for 5 minutes and decide to go inside.I questioned them about letting the phone ring for four minutes into the parking lot was empty they said they were bit completely packed a few minutes ago I've never seen that place completely packed. Then another employee said oh he was on the phone with an ex-employee who had questions. good to know an ex-employee has takes priority over customers. Needless to say after 45 minutes from my when my order was supposed to be ready I'm now eating a cold sandwich and no employee apologized for the wait only gave lame excuses as to why I had to wait. the Fry's however were delicious.
