Really disappointed to leave this review as this used to be my go-to Poke spot that I would tell all my friends about. Unfortunately I tried going on New Years Eve and had a bad experience that will ultimately tarnish my relationship with this establishment.
Knowing it was New Years Eve, I figured their hours may differ from their normal hours. At 2:45pm, I called to see what time they would be closing. A female worker answered the phone and told me they would be closing at 3:30. I jumped in my car and headed straight over there to pick up my order in time. I arrived to the restaurant at 3:03pm and witnessed one of the girls lock the exit door. I went to the entrance door to enter the establishment, but it was already locked. I saw people still ordering their meals at the counter and quickly called their number to see if I could place my order. The female answered the phone again, but informed me that they are now closed. I told her that I just called and they said they would be open until 3:30, to which her only response was “sorry”. There were still people ordering at the counter when I arrived, so I know they still had all their food out, but they were still unwilling to serve me.
I get that the staff wants to go home to celebrate the holiday, but it is a true shame that they would be willing to waist 30 minutes of my time(drive there and back from my house), and not 5 extra minutes of their time, even after telling me that they would still be open over the phone.
The food is good, but it doesn’t seem like they value their...
Read moreUpdate: I went from 5 stars to 2 stars because of the constant change of price. Everything on the menu has gone up in price three times in the past 9 months. The large bowl has gone from $9.99 to $10.99 to $11.99 and now $12.99. Not to mention the bowl size has gotten smaller a few months ago and they're even charging extra for getting a third sauce topping, which they didn't about 3-4 months ago. They're really making it difficult to get an affordable bowl. They claim it's because minimum wages went up but that defies the purpose of the wages going up by making food at this location less affordable. I was a regular at this location visiting 2 times a week, at least. Not any more. Not happy with the frequent price increases.
The food taste great. The selection of toppings are good. Try the I Lava You sauce.
Another update: Once again the prices have gone up! Now they're charging an extra $2 for extra rice, which they didn't originally. Even worse is that the person working there doesn't tell you that they've started charging extra and you won't find out until you get to the register. A large bowl cost me over $16!! What the hell?! I'm completely done with this place! Never again...
Read moreVery modern & trendy eatery. Upon entering we were welcomed very warmly. I'm fairly new to Poke so I am not as quick as others when ordering but the guy who took my order was patient and offered samples.
For my order, I went for spring mix, spicy tuna & scallops. I loved all of the traditional poke toppings but this place also offered corn and hot cheetos as a garnish (my daughter loved that).
All in all the food was delicious, the seafood and veggies were all fresh. The house flavored tea was a bit too sweet for me (i prefer u sweetened) but it was tasty and so refreshing. I absolutely LOVED the Truffle Fries. I would have never in a million years ordered them but since they were included in the combo...why not? So glad I tried them.
Tip #1 Go for the large because it's only $2 more and almost twice the size.
Tip #2 Bring your pocketbook...it's expensive. I ordered 2 regular sized combos and my bill was $29.34. I'm not upset because of the quality but it was a little of a...
