Los Arcos — Restaurant in Roanoke

I did not like this restaurant at all. My family and I went for dinner. Let's start with the waitress and the other staff. The waitress was clearly unhappy only came to the table to take our order and drop off the food, rarely if at all came to check up on our meal or if we needed anything else. When one of my family members asked what is good on the desert menu, the manager or the restaurant said everything. What do you like best of all of those? Everything was his reply. My chalupa was lettuce and guacamole. My chile relleno was cheese and beans without any pepper or anything. The flan was terrible, looked like it was old and tasted old and like alcohol with some chocolate. The best thing about the flan was the whipped cream. The fried cheesecake was okay. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. Old and gross food. The fajitas were mediocre. Everything there was just not tasty like el rodeo and Abuelos. I will never go back and I plan on letting others know how terrible this place really is. Comparing prices and quality from Abuelos and el rodeo. Just trust me when I say this place is not worth the money and I don't think they want customers anyways, they didn't seem to be customer...

So about a month ago I toke my brother for his birthday to this location. All was really well...at first everyone was nice food looked great but..as I went to take a bite I seen something move to my shock out comes crawling, a roach most gross stomach turning thing ever I tried not to make a scene we got the waiter and to my shock she covered the roach as if they knew about this problem and told us to wait a minute so we did to figure the problem out, here comes the manager saying sorry sorry whispering to me that they just had the exterminator in a few days ago but seriously how infested do you have to be to let a big roach crawl inside my food I just explained that we were going to leave so definitely the worst experience ever. If I would have actually toke a bite of my food and then seen it I would've sued but the nice person I am we just left...anyway the reason I waited so long to write the review was because I was giving the business the benefit of the doubt so hopefully this is no longer a issue because I've heard great things about this location but feel this needs to be said....

The three stars is for the friendliness of staff.

When approached by an open and friendly person, they were reciprocal.

When a shy and hesitant person who didn't push themselves forward, they didn't engage. Poo guy, I saw two other people go ahead of him because new incomers assumed he had been helped already from the way he stood away from the podium.

I had cheese enchiladas and they were kinda salty. It's not the cheese I'm used too from the border town restaurants in Arizona

Not enough hot salsa.

Rice needed something, not sure what.

Beans were ok too.

I'm going to try this place again soon. Just because their staff were friendly enough to show me their in-store menu and give me a copy because the online menu is a hot mess.

Try them. I hope to see a review from someone from my old stomping grounds to see how their opinion...
