Taco Riendo Taqueria — Restaurant in Roanoke

Street tacos are high up on my list of favorite foods (growing up in LA they’re a staple).

I ordered asada, carnitas, and pastor tacos as well as el pollo tacos dorado.

The al pastor were definitely my favorite but all were really good. I really appreciate that they come with sliced radish and fresh limes. The verde salsa has an awesome kick (it’s HOT and yummy!) the rojo salsa has a really nice light chipotle flavor if I’m not mistaken. It was all really good. Not crazy greasy like many others I’ve tried around here.

The tacos dorado are rolled and fried and come with lettuce, tomato, avocado, sour cream and salsa. Also delicious.

Just as a note, they’re single tortillas, not doubled and they don’t come with chips (which is totally fine, just worthy of mentioning).

I’ll definitely be ordering again, or stopping by if I’m over...

I have been coming here ever since they were just a tent and a truck. Their food is ALWAYS delicious, and I'm very glad they have come this far with their business. I have been ordering a torta de milaneza de rez, and it always hits the spot. The sandwich is big too, so I can always save some for the next day!! The agua frescas are so delicious and refreshing. The service is also always genuine and kind!! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Hispanic food. I also highly recommend getting a snack after your meal at elotes reyna, it's the truck attached to the same building on the opposite side. Highly recommend, always a 10/10 here from me. The only thing I will complain about is the seating, they need more tables because there's so many people that love...

Place slaps. Lengua tacos were awesome, carne asada tacos were awesome, quesadilla hit home for my kids, they liked it more than their favorite Mexican restaurant back on the west coast. Order got accidentally mixed up for my wife but she still enjoyed everything.

There’s a churro truck on the property too that is so good.

Not sure if it’s typical, but the horchata had “made from a mix” vibes. Oddly sweet and very thin body. Not sure if they made it from rice and aggressively filter it or if it’s just from a mix. I wouldn’t order it again. But the food was absolutely awesome and the service was so good even though it was standing room only and there was a line...
