GooRoo's — Restaurant in Robertsdale

As people who travel around the country, and eat in all kinds of destinations…we have been to some amazing burger joints! And this would not be one of them. The buns are way too big for the burgers, and are basic! Literally right out of the bag, not thrown a grill, nothing! There is so much sauce on them that everything falls apart, so now you can’t even enjoy the ingredients in every bite, such as the sauce’s, the lettuce, the tomato, the bacon! Because it’s such a mess after the first bite! The regular fake filled ketchup bottles that they gave us tasted like chemicals… had to ask for packets! Why not just put in real ketchup bottles? So you know what you’re getting? I did like that we could order the burger how we wanted…but that went away after it all fell apart after just one bite! The service was pretty good though! I will say though, we got our moneys worth out of the little napkins…we must have used about 20 a piece…cause it was such a mess! Would I add this to my list if I was in...

This could have been a 5 star review... Stopped by for first time for lunch. Very Busy. Restaurant was very clean, including the cooking area which was visible. promptly greeted and served by friendly staff, Sandwich, a Philly Cheese was great. Fries looked great but as I was eating them, they tasted like when you get and order to go with fries and drive home, there okay, but not great because of the time from cooking to home. When I paid, I understood why, a pan was on the back counter with no heat light and they were cooking fries in advance. So I am guessing mine was in the pan for 5 or 10 minutes. Other than that, everything was excellent. I would stop there again. Next time I would ask for fresh fries. Update: After trying this again with some friends and we all got different items, giving them 5 stars as everything was excellent for everyone. Just had to come here and say I have ate here more then a dozen times with my family and I have never been disappointed! Friendly service, fast, excellent food every time! I love that it is more like a family atmosphere and very welcoming as soon as you walk into the door even at rush hours. *by the way I read some prior reviews and as a former waitress and cook and also the fact I have sat in this parking lot to smoke a cigarette another person complained that the staff mix the tea in a bucket out back by the dumpster 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 that is not true. They dump the old tea in a bucket known as a catch all bucket till the end of the night where they dispose of it and then clean the bucket out for next day. That way people are not walking on all that that liquid and stuff throughout the day and it prevents slips and falls. Common sense. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My family will continue to go back! Love this place.
