I grew up at this park, my family and I have been members of the Friends of the riverfront for almost 30 years. It's one place that can make you feel at home... It's a very safe and family friendly area, the playground is lacking, but there's lots of swings. The flag park is beautiful, a nice way to be tribute our ancestors, in a place that makes you feel connected. There's lots of things to do on land, and many pavilions available to you, as well as more private picnic areas that can be rented. There is electrical outlets available to you at the pavilions. Picnic table was a nice surprise...made from composite materials so it hadn't been destroyed by graffiti or decay. Benches were also in great shape, although next time I think I'll take a cushion. They're a bit hard. 😁 We left earlier than planned because of the excess noise. Not a bad couple of hours, but we'll look for someplace a bit quieter for our next...
