Just passing through Rochester and decided to stop here for lunch based on a quick GoogleMap search. Seated quickly at a table for 4 (there were two of us). Waitress was accommodating with suggestions as we've never been and the options were staggering. It was a bit odd to see so many options in a restaurant in relatively small city. But my wife had the almond chicken salad sandwich on a croissant and I had the spicier panini. Both were brought out quickly and tasted great. The ingredients, especially the lettuce and tomato, were very fresh. I expect to pay somewhat of a premium for quality food, and that was represented by the menu prices, which is fine. However, we noticed an additional 4% Admin fee on the bill. I thought perhaps it was a local city or county tax, but a quick search didn't show anything. Just a word to the owners, if this is a tax on-top of the "normal" bill then you should work the fee into the prices on the menu. People don't like paying for "admin", "transportation", "covid" or other nonsense fees separately. Build them into y our menu prices and your delicious food and great service will cover it nicely. So, great service, great food, but 4 stars for the slightly bitter taste left from the...

We were on our way to Potato Creek State Park and decided to stop and have breakfast. I saw that this place had good reviews, but I can't see how. Server took our food to the wrong table. My wife said her veggie omelete was greasy. My daughter had the strawberries and cream pancake and you could tell the strawberries were from the freezer section. My Belgium waffle platter was the most disappointing. I couldn't even finish it. They were hard and crunchy and I could taste that they were frozen. For a coffe place I would think that their tea would taste better than a dirty sock, but I guess I was wrong. Then the waitress gave me another table's bill. The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars is because the cinnamon roll and the bacon was good. I get that we are in tough times, but if I'm spending this much on a meal I would like to be able to finish it with pleasure. I will not be adding this to my pit stop on my...

Jarretty's Place is kind of like Cheers, it's the place you wanna be at when in this area. To be in a fairly Rural area it is just outstanding. Absolutely Great Food, wonderful Service from the ery Friendly people that work here. When I find them I rave about places like this, because in today's fast pace world (which usually means hurry up and wait , for inferior food, and service) these kinds of places are just few, and far between, sad to say. Jarretty's is the way these Quaint little Restaurant's are supposed to be, a place that you will go out of your way to come back to. I travel through here frequently, and they will be a regular stopping point for me now that I've discovered them. Thanks for the Outstanding Service, and Great Food. Do yourself a favor, and stop in, and eat, and socialize, you...

DO NOT GET THE SPINACH QUICHE. The most disgusting thing I have ever had, taste and smells like seaweed. I’ve had spinach quiches before and spinach omelets, they’re my go to for breakfast. They WILL NOT refund any money. So be careful in what you order. ***update they did remove the quiche AFTER a phone call to the owner - where the owner said no refund - my waitress came back from her break and refunded it. I did write this prior to my waitress doing something about it. Then forgot about it until now. I do want to be clear it was refunded but not easily and I would still be careful in what you order if you don't get the right waitress that will make sure you’re happy. Especially after the owner told another waitress NO, I heard the conversation on the phone, that waitress said she agreed with the owner. SO.

To any Rochester peeps, the new owners of Jarrety's Place have a long way to go. They jacked up the prices and have lowered the quality of service and food. For 3 bowls (that are cup sized) of potato soup, 2 paninis (I got home in Bremen to find only 1 sandwich was given to me although I paid for 2) and 1 bacon avocado wrap with a 20% tip cost me over $70 today. For LUNCH. The paninis were tiny, not grilled, and my bacon avocado wrap has one piece of bacon, maybe a 1/4 of an avocado, if that, tomato slices, and iceberg lettuce. To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement. I'll gladly update if things improve in the future, but I'll be hard pressed to even consider trying them again due to the price hikes.

This popular breakfast and lunch venue is just a bit further down the street from all of the fast food spots near the highway. Service is great. They have a variety of coffees available. I was particularly thankful for the hearty, homemade chicken and rice soup, as I was having an off sort of day. The "real food" soup felt much better for me than anything on a fast food menu! A large parking lot sits adjacent to the restaurant. It had plenty of room for my RV, even though the restaurant had a busy lunch crowd.
