Dollar General — Local services in Rochester

All of the employees are friendly and helpful. Never had a problem there. Issues would be that the shelves are not stocked alot of the time....because they don't have the items. Not due to employee's slacking. They don't have the selection that other stores in other towns have I feel like. The other thing, and it HAS been better lately.....is that there is almost ALWAYS a line at the checkout, but there is usually only one cashier. Used to take forever....they have improved lately! They mainly rely on their self checkout for all the customers, an the staff was rude to me in front of my kids, because I used the self checkout for a price checker because they didn't have a price on the Pokemon cards, but if they had a cashier up there I wouldn't have needed to use the self checkout for a price checker or if they would have all their products priced like their supposed to I also wouldn't have needed to use the self checkout as a price checker. They just have no intelligence if they try to blame me for...

Not impressed. They have enough employees around the store but the whole place was in disarray! Couldn't tell the clearance items from the other stuff, a lot of empty shelving and like products were scattered to different shelves across the store. Dirty too. Lots of old dusty spider webs hanging off the walls and ceilings. especially in the front right side by the medicine aisle. Oh, and the parking lot on the southeast side of the building is chalk-full of huge potholes and craters! Very nice...
