The Hilltop @ 15074 — Restaurant in Rochester

Honestly was so disappointing, a friend told us to stop . Started first with the appetizer we ordered deep fried pork rhines with homemade dressing . So looking forward to these ! Had them before in Miami. When the waitress came out with them literally was pork rhines straight from a bag like dollar general ! Now mind you these were $9.00 ! Thought I was on candid camera. So we ordered steak and a chicken salad . $16.00 and $18.00 for deluxe. Now here comes our Salads that the waitress spoke so highly of said there is lots of cheese couldn’t even see the cheese , 5 pieces of chicken and hardly no steak Had to pay extra money for deluxe to have cucumbers ,tomatoes & onions ! She brings them out turns around takes them back ! Now comes back out with them and says sorry they didn’t make them deluxe so I brought you the vegetables on plate ! 6 cherry tomatoes and 10 thin slice baby cucumbers plus 3 slices of thin sliced onions ! This is for 2 salads ! I got blue cheese dressing never in my entire life did I see or taste blue cheese dressing like this ! The color didn’t even look good ! So I inturned ordered some ranch ! Anyway the whole experience there was just horrible . We still paid and tipped but needless to say got such bad food poison on the way home was so sick ! Felt totally ripped off ! If people think these are good salads they have no idea what a good salad is !...

Stopped there last night after a meeting and all the food looked delicious! I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone in our rather large group. I ordered a dessert only since I had already had dinner and the carrot cake was absolutely out of this world! My friend ordered the pasta with peppers (not what it is called on the menu) and the smell just about made me have dinner for a second time!!! It looked wonderful and i will definitely order it the next time. I didn't know this place existed but will definitely be back. Had a great lunch there today. Service was great. I was pleasantly surprised at the turnout for lunch on their first official advertised day open. It seems like the community is really excited about the Hilltop reopening so shout out to its owners for doing that. My family has been in Rochester all of my 40+ years and my mom and aunt enjoyed the nostalgia of being there.
