This was during afternoon lunch hours so there were only a couple other tables of people there we could see amongst the 2 areas we were in and near, so very slow at this time during a weekday. Good time to go for faster service! Lol. But the food was Excellent. I got a house side salad and it came with a nice, soft little breadstick and lots of veggies, and I chose the cucumber dressing and it was a lovely, little salad. We got fried mushrooms and onion rings for appetizers and I believe those were the best of both items that Id ever tried. Just heavenly! 😋👌🏽 lol. The chicken George was our entrée and I can say that was the best order of it that I've ever eaten as it was all fried to perfection whereas other times I've eaten this dish they were kind of soft and not fried as well so not as flavorful and not as crisp. 10/10 I give the food. 👌🏽✨️ Now the service is the reason for a lack of 5 stars... we were Finally seated and this dude l say, young man with an unfriendly attitude, asks how many in our party and then turns and proceeds to walk away after we answered, without saying a word, like as if he was headed on a mission to go see what seats were available, maybe, but who know since he aint said anything. Smh... So he gets a few feet away and I decided to ask, would you like us to follow you maybe?? Lol. He's, like, "oh yea". Smh... He then, without even Asking if we want to sit there, puts us in the bar section. 😑 We hate bar sections and so finally asked to be moved somewhere else and thankfully the waiter dude obliged us quickly to the lovely section you see in my pictures. He then kind of tosses two menus on the table as well as two place settings and walks away again without telling us his name. He did turn around at least and ask if we want anything to drink, thankfully, but still no name, lol. 🤷🏽♀️ This was only my 2nd time at this place so I hadn't seen all of the seating areas yet. The shots of seating and decor that I took are from a very cozy, nice and smaller section at the front of the restaurant right off of the bar area. He did do good with taking our order and getting it to us in a timely manner. While we ate, a young girl came to replace him, her name was Luz and she was Nice and smiled at us, as servers are supposed to, okay, lol. 😂👏🏽👌🏽 Dude never smiled at us is why I'm saying it. Lol. Smh... I do recommend this...
Read moreVery disappointed with the dining experience I had today. My soup arrived with a hard breadstick across the top of the bowl and I barely got started on it when my onion rings and deep fried pickles arrived. Most people might think that's not a problem but the onion rings and pickles were barely warm, not piping hot like they should be if they were fresh. To tell you how bad this appetizer was, there was a chicken strip on the plate that was cold and very dry...and I didn't order any of them. I had time ti eat two onion rings when my entree made it's arrival. Where they in a hurry to get me out of there? That's the only thought I had. I took a bite of the seafood alfredo only to find that this was cold as well. The waitres did take it back and when I received it the second time it was warmer and once I got past the bad fishy smell, the dish was just okay. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to eat anymore of the onion rings and deep fried pickles because of the flies flying around landed on the food. The waitress never bothered to ask if I wanted anything else, and when I mentioned that the flies landed on the food she seemed to ignore me. The quality of food was no where near worth the price I had to pay for this meal and I am reluctant to return to the restaurant in the future. I would have talked to the manager, but after waiting five minutes for my waitress to go and tell her I wanted to talk to her, I had to ask another waitress. I was told that she was dealing with another customer, and I did see her talking to a group of people, the same group she was talking to when I stopped at the desk to talk to her. When she was still talking to the same group five minutes later, I figured my chances of talking to her weren't good and I left. The bad thing is, I'm supposed to meet friends there at the end of the month and I'm considering not going because of the poor quality of food. I won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone in the...
Read moreI would like to preface this review by saying that the owner sent me a gift card after I called and complained after initially posting this review.
Went for Valentine's Day last night. It was the worst experience I've had at any restaurant in the midwest which saddens me to say. The service was miserable. I understand they were busy but we were seated right by the kitchen and I still had to wait over 30 minutes for water. After she finally brought my drink, I discovered it was Sierra Mist. I informed my waitress and she corrected it after about another 10 minutes. I was still charged for it afterwards. I ordered tilapia and crab. The crab was advertised as fresh but had a rubbery consistency as though it was cooked somewhere else and then frozen and shipped. It was not cooked thoroughly at all. I have never ordered crab from a restaurant and had my legs split down the middle. After this experience, it seemed like they had to do this to make sure it was cooked. If they aren't comfortable enough with cooking crab to leave the legs in one piece, then it probably shouldn't be on the menu. All of our food (except appetizers) was cold by the time it made it to our table which is sad once again because we were seated right outside the kitchen like I already said. I was sick all night from this. I have been here several times before and I would've given it 5 stars based off my past experiences but I have never been more let down by a restaurant, especially when it's allegedly their best location. It will be a very long time before I come back if I ever do. I just don't think paying $80 for a meal that seemed like it was recovered from a dumpster...
