Yesterday, August 8th, 2024, I had lunch at AAA Fresh Kitchen in Rock Hill, which offers a mix of Japanese, Thai, and Myanmar/Burmese cuisine. The diverse menu intrigued me, so I decided to give it a try. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Hereâs what we ordered:
Myanmar Fried Noodle: Extremely flavorful with a perfect blend of spices that made this simple dish stand out.
Pad Thai: A good Pad Thai, though it was missing Thai basil. It had peanuts, lime, and other traditional ingredients, making it enjoyable. FEEDBACK: Add some basil and a side of chili flakes, and you'll have a great pad Thai.
Ramen: On my âramen gaugeâ, it was just okay. The broth and noodles were great, but the egg was hard-boiled instead of soft-boiled, and the pork was chunked rather than chashu (sliced, marinated pork). FEEDBACK: Soft boil the egg and make chashu, or pulled pork, instead of bland pork chunks.
Myanmar Samosa: Very crispy on the outside with a delicious potato, onion, and curry-flavored filling. It was excellent! FEEDBACK: None; this was very good!
Summer Roll: A typical summer roll wrapped in rice paper, but it was extremely good. It came with an amazing peanut sauce and included two rolls. FEEDBACK: None; this was very good!
Fried Spring Rolls: Another typical spring roll, but very crispy on the outside and generously filled. It came with five spring rolls. FEEDBACK: May add one more spring rolls, that way it can be equally split amongst two people; I'd gladly pay a little more for that. Also, it may not be a bad idea to throw in a cup of sweet chili sauce.
The entire meal cost around $60, and the portions were generous. We still have plenty of food left over.
The exterior of the restaurant could use some improvement, as it might be perceived as âsketchyâ. The inside is quite empty with no seating, so youâll need to take your food to go. However, the service was friendly and efficient, which added to the positive experience.
Overall, I recommend AAA Fresh Kitchen for its tasty and diverse menu. Despite the minor ambiance issues, the food quality and portion sizes make it...
Read moreThis was our 3rd time ordering delivery... the first 2 times were AMAZING! We had an assortment of sushi rolls the first time, and the fried glass noodles the second time. This delivery, I got the Hawaiian bowl (it's super yummy) but my boyfriend ordered the beef pho and was extremely disappointed. Normally when we order pho, the noodles and meat come in 1 container, the broth in another, and the toppings in another. The toppings, meat and noodles were together.... no biggie but the jalapeùos definitely made the entire dish too spicy just by sitting on the other ingredients. He specifically ordered a soup because his tummy is hurting but just the slight spice hurt him. What was missing? The meatballs, basil, and lime. And the beef that did come with the dish was 5 small chunks of overcooked beef stew pieces. Not at all what we ordered or expected. This will not deter us from this place by any means, but wanted to let other customers and the restaurant know that the pho was not up to expectations from a normally...
Read moreI've ordered online before and it's good for some things, not great though. The ramen I got this time though felt cheap and not that good. Suggestions try parboiling the egg instead of full boil, try using pork belly instead of a regular pork chop. Broth and noodles, it is what it is. I know it's not a ramen shop but it's something I wouldn't "go out" for again. I'm not saying it's terrible but a restaurant shouldn't have you question if you should of stayed home and cooked but instead make you satisfied.
A woman literally came in while I was sitting there and the guy at the counter went to the back to grab the spice he forgot I asked for and she walked out saying "I'm here at the place, but it's not the place you thought it was"
I was there about 40min and the only other person that came in was the lady...
