I have NEVER had such a bad experience at a fast food in my life. Took precisely 22 minutes with only 3 cars ahead of us to get food and that is just the start (off lunch hours, after 2:30). Had the order repeated wrong and after correcting it, we weren't told a price or to even pull up, but asked if they can take our order again. We told them that they already took our order and will see them at the window. The woman took our $ with know apologies for the mix-ups and we drove on towards the next window but was stopped cause they're pulling people that are waiting on their food just a few feet from the actual window (making it pointless, why pull someone give the next 2 cars their food 1st without the others able to drive around them, we're all blocked in). Finally made it to the window, drive thru operator seemed extremely sleepy/high hair hasn't been brushed in a year and is trying to get rid of us quickly without a single care. I simply ordered a steak and cheese biscuit with mustard on it, dirty rice, and a medium Cheerewine; biscuit didn't have any mustard on it and was hard as a brick, got fries instead of rice, and a tea instead of Cheerewine, and both receipts read correctly, so what's so hard about that. She corrected it, and gave us packs of mustard which I won't complain about. Then no straw, spoon, or napkins. She comes back with just a straw and had to ask again for a spoon. To hell with waiting another 5 minutes on napkins. I thank God I wasn't in lunchtime rush hour traffic having to get back to work, almost needed an exorcist for myself. Will NEVER go...
Read more1/7/20: Email received from Bojangles for 2- Piece chicken dinner for $3.99. I went to Herlong Avenue location in Rock Hill SC to take advantage of the offer and was told that the offer was only for DARK meat and not for the WHITE meat. I showed the manager (Veronica) the email - which did not state that the meal had to be DARK meat only. The fine print did not even say that it had to be DARK meat. Veronica proceeded to tell me that she had a button on her register that automatically adds more money if you get WHITE meat. That may be good for the staff but that does not do anything for the customer who has an email that does not state that you can only get DARK meat. Veronica was very matter-of-fact and kept stating over and over what her button does on her register & not acknowledging that the email is misleading to the CUSTOMER. I then asked Veronica to make sure she gave me big pieces of chicken since I opted to do white meat and pay full price. I have taken a picture of what she gave me (looks like drumettes). Don't know why I continue to go to this location. From what I understand from others, this is not the first complaint that has been issued against Veronica, yet she continues to display the same type of uncompromising attitude. Read moreThe food is okay, typical of a fast food establishment. I would not say this is my best experience of any Bojangles food in terms of quality, however. The fries were a bit soggy, the most noticeable gap in improvement. I did try the BoBerry cookies for the first time, and thought they were better than I expected. I liked how they were hot.
The huge disappointment in service and atmosphere was the fact that we were not given everything in the order, and how the employees acted towards us. It was through the DriveThru, so we didn't notice until we drove home that the BoBerry cookies and dipping sauces were not there. After we ate, we drove back to the location and had to go inside because the DriveThru uses a computer automated ordering system, not a person. When I told the employee what happened, she didn't even apologize. She took my receipt and came back a bit later with a bag of the cookies (I didn't bother mentioning the dipping sauces).
Even if the business is too cheap to offer compensation for their mistakes (like a coupon for a free item on the next visit), can they at least train their employees to have the decency to apologize and act like they care... even if just a little?
