Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Rock Hill

Food is good, but staff is hit-or-miss. Tried to get food, and was hurrying to get my order placed (since they close down their carry-out at 11:40 PM), and a couple employees were arguing in the back about how they don’t want to make orders this late. The moment that the clock hit 11:40, I was locked out from ordering carry-out (the reason it took me right up until that time, was because they have a surprise notice at the end of the process that says you have to order a minimum of $25, so I had to scramble to add a 2-liter and a cup of garlic sauce, on top of 2 medium pizzas, a Papa Bowl, and some Oreo cheesecake knots), and I live some 15 minutes away, but wanted something other than Steak’n Shake, so it wasn’t like I could switch it to delivery and have them deliver to my home (where I wasn't even at), and after this experience, I wasn’t going to switch to delivery and have them bring it to just outside their building (which is where I’m at, right now), but because I was outside their building, there would be no reason to tip, so I’m sure they’d make a note of that in future about my orders. Plus I didn’t want to pay the delivery fee or a tip for them to walk a few steps out of their business’s front door. Place an order for a birthday party at 12:05pm asked for a delivery time of 1:30pm the same day. The order taker was great recapped the order and asked the payment method. I stated cash as I wanted to give a nice tip as this order was delivery of 8 pizzas and an order of 32 wings. The manager of the location who name is “Amanda” call me at 12:55pm to tell me that she cannot fulfill the order without a card payment. No problem at all. I confirmed that the order sold still be delivered by 1:30 and of course she goes silent. I said “hello can the order still be here by the confirmed time being I placed the order at 12:05pm and it took an hour to call me back. She again goes silent. I will NEVER order from this store and has shared the experience with the community center who has added them to the list of not recommended vendors for the facility. Poor customer service: IF U NEED SOMETHING DELIVERED BY A CERTAIN TIME DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY

I don't really like pizza, I just eat it to humor my family. This stuff is so ordinary, it's forgettable. Frankly, it's boring, skimpy and average at best. We ordered for delivery, 2 hours later and no pizzas. We called and were told they delivered them (to the wrong address) and the recipients sent them back saying they didn't want them because they got tired of waiting. WHAT???? We were told that we were going to get new, fresh hot pizzas for free. 20 minutes later pizzas are delivered. They had to be the original pizzas because they got delivered too quickly after our complaint call and they were cold, tough and flavorless. They were leftover by the time they arrived. I'm leaving 2 stars only because we've had this pizza before and it was mediocre then, too. The delivery person was friendly and polite. He was the only one who benefited from the deal. Couldn't not compensate him. Won't order...
