I just left from the University City location with a large party. Not only was the food subpar, but the service was awful. All of the food was room temperature- lukewarm. The server (Chloe) messed up on all the tickets, and was very pushy about receiving payment for tickets that were completely wrong all around. When myself and members of my party attempted to order food,we were yelled at to wait. We waited. After waiting, we were ignored completely.
Also, there was a server/ busboy walking around making racist remarks towards myself as well as those at my table. Well after I got my food, he poured my water, he kept saying “fried chicken? Fried chicken?” while constantly laughing. He then proceeded to rummage through the personal belongings of a member of my party while he thought no one was looking. When we went to pay for our meals (which they honestly deserved nothing), they questioned whether or not our debit/credit cards were ours, and those of us who paid cash, they insinuated that the money wasn’t “clean”.
My party wasn’t loud. We weren’t rude. We were very respectful, and obviously that wasn’t reciprocated in any way.
I understand this location doesn’t do well with large parties, but all of these actions were completely unnecessary. Also, there was absolutely no indication whatsoever that this location did not host large parties of people.
The University City location is a terrible establishment overall, and the food is horrendous. This location deserves nothing but the raggedy parking...
Read moreI got the general tso chicken and fried rice. The fried rice was a little dry, but the chicken was fantastic. It is dark meat, so don't order if you like white meat better. It came with a small bowl of soup (two choices egg drop soup or the other one I got. I can't think of the name, but it tasted like a sour broth. It was okay.), a crabragoon, and a spring roll. The spring roll was delicious. I'm allergic to seafood which I told the waitress, but she still brought out the crabragoon. Although it's imitation crab meat, it's still made with fish. If you are allergic to anything such as seafood and nuts especially, I would be cautious to look up certain recipes because alot of Asain dishes use fish sauce and peanut oil. Most people don't know or don't think to tell you because it's not a main ingredient. But I digress! Haha The service was fine. I think they only gave me a fork when my food came, so you'd have to ask for different silverware if you needed it. My whole meal was about $9 which was a great price for the portions I received. The place looked nice and clean. Dim lighting. Nice decor and photos on the wall. No fortune cookie at the end, so there's that if it's a selling point to you. I think that's about it. Overall it was good. Will...
Read moreIt was horrible service! There were 3 tables a total of 12 people eating,at different stages, we arrived and were seated. No water, was brought to us, no interaction for a good solid 15 minutes, while we watched 2 servers take care of 4 tables. Finally, order for drinks was taken. I ordered an ice tea, the server brought water and ice tea/lemon,she brought no sugar. I requested sugar, again. Waited a good 5 minutes asked for sugar, she took care of others, and walked right passed sugar containers, a number of times. I finally got up and asked for sugar at the counter, he handed me a container of sweet and low, I asked him for sugar, he handed me a hand full of sugar packets, instead of getting better service, it got worse......... food delivered room temperature, some hot. They refused to take empty dishes away, from table. We had ordered 2 appetizers and 4 entrees, the check was a good amount. The waiter, pointed out that THE TIP WAS NOT INCLUDED IN CHECK TOTAL!!!!!Another table of color was there, and commented on bad service also, surmising it was because they were of...
