If you're looking for great home cooked meals and you are in Rock Hill try Red's Grill. It's been serving breakfast and lunch since 1948. As soon as you open the doors, you will see red swivel chairs at a counter facing the cook who is working the grill. The smell of fresh eggs and bacon cooking will make anyone order breakfast. It's a small dining area, so be patient if they are busy. But once the food is served and you take a bite, it is worth the wait. I saw fish and grits go out, grits w/cheese and a biscuit, tons of Frenchtoast being served, hamburgers served, if you get a bologna sandwich it's a thick cut of bologna , pancakes are huge, and delicious looking club sandwich being served at 10:30am. I had 2 eggs over easy with livermush and hashbrowns one morning. It was delicious 😋! The next time, I had the livermush and egg sandwich 🥪 and my work partner had liver and onions. The sandwich was absolutely delicious. The liver and onions looked as good as it tasted. Will definitely go back to try other items off the menu. It's a great place for...
Read moreMy friend and I stopped by Red's Grill on a Thursday afternoon. Since it was our first visit, we decided to dine in. We heard about Red's Grill from his former co-workers. It was a good amount of patrons sitting at the counter, which was expected at the hour we arrived. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who provided us with a menu that included a large selection of breakfast and lunch items and a few dinner meals. We placed our order and then thr nightmare begin. We waited over 30min b4 the waitress bought us our food...and the sight of that tiny, dry hamburger hidden between the dry tasting bun was pathetic! And, ithe bunlacked any of the juice from the birger soaked into it's insidesurface. The fries were dry, hard, tasteless and def not handout. The patron behind us was coughing and blowing her nose as she waited for her food--and she was there b4 we arrived. We could not move back to empty booth behind us because the view on one side looked directly into the...
Read moreThe only reason that I gave a low eating for this visit is, I called my order in waited about 10 minutes and went to get my order. When I got there, one vehicle was at the drive thru. I waited and waited. Finally a waitress came out and asked if I had called in a order. I said yes and she took my money and went in to get my order. Apparently it still wasn't ready. This is 30 minutes after calling it in. Come to find out the vehicle in front of me placed their order at the window and was allowed to sit there until their order was done. Which was 25 minutes after I got there. So when I get to the window, my order still isn't ready. Even though this person at the drive thru ordered after I did, they got their order first and I still had to wait on mine. I love the food at Red's and have been going there for years. But this made me very angry, but I held my cool and didn't go off. Though, I probably would have left if a car hadn't...
