Well, this was the last Rudy's on my list to see if it would disappoint and guess what? It did! I had high hopes since this is the closest one to home. My wife and I came in since we had a Tap On It and thought if the food or drink was not good that at least we were only out half as much. We ordered just sodas and my wife made sure to mention up front that we had a Tap On It. The waitress said "Sorry! We don't accept Tap On It. We don't have the equipment to accept it." Equipment? You subtract the lowest price meal from the ticket and WALA! We double checked Tap On It and it had no restrictions other than maybe the common two drink purchase. She did ask if we still wanted to order and my wife and I knew that this would be the last trip to Rudy's Forever so we did order and it was good for American Mexican. The waitress was pretty good but I just hope that she knew what she was talking about when she told us that. Usually I take pictures of my dish for reviews but there wasn't anything spectacular to take a pic of. We figured since the East Village and Moline were also a bust and how this went about that we were just chalking it up to the Rudy's Curse. Read moreI ordered a burger and when it came out, I noticed the bun was bigger than the burger, the bottom bun was soggy from absorbing the grease, it was dry and tasteless. As well as had limp shredded lettuce that tasted like bag shredded lettuce like it hadn't been washed. I asked for ranch, and they don't even make their own ranch dressing. Disappointed and dissatisfied is the least of the experience I had.
Other than the food, the server was very good with all details, kept coming back to check drink refills or if anything else was needed. She did apologize for not liking the end results of the menu item that I ordered, but I told her it wasn't her fault, but more so the food industries for wanting to raise their pieces but lower the quality of their product.
I wouldn't suggest to anyone, but I also wouldn't stop others from getting their own experience. But everyone can have a different...
