M&S II Pizza — Restaurant in Rockaway Township

I am not a huge fan of M&S II. I think the food a little further west at M & S "original" is much better. But that's my opinion. I'm sure others may beg to differ. Anyway, my son and I do enjoy their roast beef sandwiches. My son gets one just about every Friday. The value is also great. This Friday I decided I would get one as well. I was very disappointed to find a hair in the sandwich. I have very short black hair. This was a light color strand of about 7 or 8 inches, obviously not my own. I decided to call the pizzaria and let them know. For no other reason than just to bring it to their attention so that they would be a little more careful when preparing food. I did not want or ask for anything in return. Supposably the person I spoke to was the mánager. Very smug and condisendingly he says "yeah that happens, they wear hats", we have a woman working in the back". No apology. Not even a thank you for bringing it to his attention. Unfortunately we will have to find anther place for our sandwiches from now on. I didn't want to put them on blast. It's not that huge of a deal. I was willing to just put it behind me and move on. I thought by calling and telling them personally I could quietly inform them but that managers attitude and response only added insult to injury. What's happened to...

I recently visited M&S II Pizza in North Jersey and was blown away by the amazing taste of their pizza. The quality of the pizza was simply outstanding and definitely one of the best I've tasted in the area. However, while the food was exceptional, the customer service and overall experience could have been better.

One area where M&S II Pizza could improve is in the updating and remodeling of their establishment. The interior is a bit outdated and could use a fresh look to make it more appealing to customers. However, despite the need for some cosmetic improvements, I appreciated the availability of seats and the accommodating staff.

Overall, I would give M&S II Pizza a solid four-star rating. The pizza alone is worth the visit, but with some updates and remodeling, this pizzeria could really stand out among its competition. Okay, so the chicken parm sub was FANTASTIC, like very very good. I would never normally order something like that, but from recommendations, i had to try it. I have to take 1 star off because unfortunately their pizza… really wasn’t for me. I tried both the plain and the buffalo chicken, and truthfully could not have more than a couple bites of each (which is a first for me). The plain was extremely.. soft? like squishy almost? Not even in a “flop” way, but just like.. didn’t really remind me of pizza, not sure how else to describe it.. The buff chick was odd too, it looked great, but the sauce didn’t taste right, and was SO greasy (i like greasy pizza, but this was over the top).
