Update- Per the owners response below, I went back to the car wash on 6/19/23 to review the footage with the manager. I was not allowed to go in with the manager, and had to sit outside and wait. After driving a half hour each way, per there request and sitting waiting for ~20 minutes I was told they can't access the cameras, though I did see from outside the cameras were currently running. I filled out an incident report, was not given a copy, and was told the owners would contact me. Contact from the owners took a few days and wasn't until I also reached out via facebook messenger and then all communication since happened via email They essentially acknowledged that the paint was on the truck before going into the wash, but can't confirm that it was removed via a camera after the wash. And essentially blamed it on the age of the vehicle, or a paint imperfection in that location that the cameras couldn't see, which I can say with 100% certainty didn't exist. They also in their reply included images of every other angle of my truck other than the area in question, and tried painting a false picture of my vehicle condition overall with those images. (Bird droppings on my front driver fender, a single small dent in another location, and roof paint that was previously damaged, but me cutting something with a knife up there and damaging the roof) irrelevant to this incident. They offered me a refund and 10 free washes. Yes, 10 free washes to the car wash that removed paint from my vehicle. I challenged their first email, said it was unacceptable response, and proposed resolution, and we went back and forth a few additional times. In those emails, i was told, that "people have tried to take advantage in the past, not saying that is you" but it was the implication with the rest of the conversation. I was also questioned on the timing because my review wasn't left until a few days later. Luckily I have images from that same day, after the car wash, showing the paint missing, which they acknowledged as not being missing upon entering the wash bay. Instead of trying to come to a resolution, or wanting to see the truck or discuss in person after their defense of condition was challenged, my character, and integrity were questioned, as was if I was being honest. I understand that this is a potential expensive issue, and that people may have tried taking advantage in the past, and as a small business owner you need to play defense. There is however, a way that you navigate those issues and conversations with the person impacted, which is not the way this was handled. More informative questioning, less accusation and speculation.
Until I said that I no longer wish to go back and forth via email and be spoken to this way, and that I would be having the truck fixed on my dime, updating this review to explain to the public how this was handled, and getting the word out via additional channels, at no point were they even considering taking care of the damage they caused. Then they suddenly said get estimates, and we'll "consider it". Then proceeded to recommend a body shop. Too late. I had already decided I no longer wished to deal with them. And said that I hope if nothing else, my feedback will impact how you handle these situations and customers in the future.
I hope not one single additional person has to experience this. These people, are a disgrace.
Original Review: First time coming here. Car wash got my truck very clean, the staff was great, and the line moves fast. I was so happy I gave a $20 tip on my $18 wash. But, when I got home, I realized it took paint off my truck which has never been a problem elsewhere. If not for that, it'd be 4 or 5 stars, but left with no option but 1...
Read moreresponding to owner's response Adam - thank you for getting back to me with resolve in mind. Yeah, it was a whirlwind of things at the time of my last visit. I will email you as I'm not sure I can respond to your notes otherwise. Adjusted to 4 stars based on your quick response - thank you and I appreciate the diligence with my matter. ~Ted
Been going here for years. It's been hit or miss though.
Asked the gentlemen that took my payment if I needed to turn over auto wipers, etc and he checked the windshield by spraying water and nothing happened so sent it through. 1 minute into the wash the wipers were going crazy as the car vehicle was being hit by the cleaner arms. The mirrors bent forward as well (should have told me to turn them in or perhaps he should have done it? I don't know as I don't do that for a living. BTW, a very expensive brand new 2024 Acura. Pretty sure I had an anxiety attack during my wash as there was nothing I could do at that point. Not thrilled with the situation at all but got out and and turned the mirrors back afterwards and everything seemed ok but the driverside mirror shakes a bit when on the highway now ...vehicle has 5k mikes on it. This obviously could have been avoided 100% though!
Staff is always pleasant (and i always tip the crew)and the car gets washed pretty good but additonally I did pay for the ultimate wash (or whatever the top tier wash is called) and the automatic tire shine thing did not work at all. Also the Luminera wax light tthing never came on so I'm not sure if that even happened? I'm a car guy so I obviously went home and properly added tire shine (chemical guys, great product and lasts for at least 2 weeks) and finished cleaning the vehicle. Kind of defeats the purpose of going to the car wash, imo.
Honestly, I'm hesitant about returning. You have to have specific protocol for the staff to follow or things like...
Read moreThis is a very convenient and relatively good drive through car wash. For $8 one can get their car washed pretty well and quickly. However, as with most car washes that deal with volume, the finishing service of drying off one's car by attendants with rags of questionable cleanliness will most likely leave a bunch of steaks on the vehicle. I made this mistake once before but now I simply decline the drying off bit and go for a short drive to dry off the car naturally. I've been here multiple times and I will most likely use these services again. My biggest concern with a drive through car wash was the risk of leaving swirls on the paint and so far I haven't had any issues (I have a black car and on a bright sunny day I can make out some faint superficial swirls on parts of my car but I am not concerned because I know they can be easily buffed out by a detailer)
For $8 it's a good enough wash, I'd prefer to hand wash my car but I lack the facilities to do so. Nevertheless this is a good compromise, this place will clean your car but don't expect a detail service, for that you're better off doing it yourself or going to a specialty car detailer. I haven't tried the more expensive packages either so I don't know if the extra $ really makes...
