Anna's Pizza — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I usually like this place and we order from them a lot even though they do forget stuff often and that's forgiven but tonight was a joke! We placed a big order for our party for delivery and they said they would be here in an hour and after 90 minutes we called to check on it and they told us the driver had been out and should be here soon. Then 40 minutes after that, we call again to be told our ticket with our order on it was never brought back to the kitchen so they never even made our food, let alone had it out for delivery. We assumed they were taking long cause it's snowing so after all that, they offered us nothing and my husband had to go out and pick it up himself now that the weather did get bad over the course of the 2 1/2 hours. He haggled them to only make us pay half, but after all that, it should have been free and we shouldn't have even had to ask. We have a party of hungry people here who have been waiting to eat! If there were six stars, Anna’s earned it! First time there, I wanted to order a variety… I began with the Pizza. It rivals some of the best. Thin crispy crust, great flavor. Five Stars. I had several other items to sample so I moved on. Stuffed shells were next. Homemade cheese filling I swear my NaNa made, served with delicious sauce. Five Stars. I love making meatballs and my family’s recipe. I was sure to be disappointed. NOT! Anna’s were better. Five Stars. Not many places offer a decent Italian Beef…..I don’t even need to go there. I am in Rockford often so I regularly try different restaurants and have been judging all the pizza places. The pizza I got was very good. Sauce is most of the flavor on pizza and the sauce had a great sweet flavor. I really enjoyed the crust but for those that like thin crust it was a bit thick, which I personally prefer, so order the thin crust if you like thin. Overall very good pizza and a friendly staff when I went in to pick up the pizza. So far I think this is my favorite pizza...
