Gulotta's Pizza — Restaurant in Rockford Township

I'm a young Rockford native on a quest to find the best pizza in Rockford, for all places I'll be trying a plain cheese pizza to be as unbiased as possible. The pizza was all around excellent. The sauce was sweet, but not overly. The amount of cheese was perfect, not too much, not too little, and was not greasy. I'm pretty picky about pizza crust, but this was possibly my favorite crust of any pizza I've ever had, not doughy and not too hard. All aspects of the pizza compliment each other and blend together very well. Aside from the pizza, Nick was a great guy and pleasure to give my business to. The price is also unbeatable, 9$ for a large pizza. Places like this are what make Rockford great and seeing as Gulotta's is the first place I tried for this experiment, the rest of the pizza places in Rockford will be up against some stiff...

I have lived here my whole life . WHY have I not tried Gulottas until now?? Great pizza! This little cash only carry out only store sells some great pizza! Nick the owner was such a nice man! He made a point of chatting with me, asked me my first name and honestly, in the 5 minutes I was there, made me feel like family. He even asked how i wanted my pizza cut ( pie or squares. Squares of course!!!)The true testimony to this place is the atmosphere. The walls are adorned with yellowing letters, pictures and business cards, a testimony to the YEARS of happy customers . The pizza was really good. Simple sauce, not too spicy. The crust was crispy, not chewy. So great! I will be back. THIS store and this owner are why we all should support local...

I must say I’m new in the Rockford area and growing up & living in Chicago im used to eat very good pizza who doesn’t like Chicago Pizza 🍕 anyway I moved a couple months ago here to Rockford & I searched top rated pizza 🍕 and Guilotas Pizza had very good reviews & I must say ITS DELICIOUS 🤤 NICK THE OWNER IS A VERY DOWN TO EARTH HUMBLE MAN THAT HAS WON OUR FAMILY WITH HIS PIZZA ITS FRESH ITS CHEESY THE SAUCE IS INCREDIBLE TODAY WE WILL BE TRYING HIS LASAGNA THAT I DONT DOUBT ONE BIT ITS GOING TO BE DELICIOUS!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GUILOTAS PIZZA TO ANYONE WHO WANTS DELICIOUS FRESH PIZZA ITS AMAZING 🤩 THIS IS PLACE ALSO IS CASH ONLY HIS PRICES ARE SO REASONABLE ASWELL!!!!
