HearthRock Cafe — Restaurant in Rockford Township

You wouldn't guess there's a cafe inside the fireplace store but there is and It's lovely. The atmosphere is cozy and has a picturesque fireplace amidst the tables. The cashier was friendly. I ordered half a sandwhich and cup of soup for $6.50. Corned beef and swiss on a croissant with roasted vegetable soup. The soup was very good and perfect on a cold afternoon. I also grabbed a orange cranberry muffin to go for $2.75. This was phenomenal. Very moist with a kick of sweet oranges and tart cranberry. They have scones, muffin tops, and giant cookies as well. The cookies were the best value in my opinion. At $1.75 and in several varieties, being the size of my face, they are hard to resist. Worth a visit but don't go with less...

Been customers for long time, but things seem to be going downhill... Has chef and management changed ? Mushroom sandwich dropped...other sandwiches way too dry . ..bread choices don't seem fresh .... Breads being frozen ? Need fresh croissant offered as bread choice... No soup choice on day visited, only chilli. Cookies good but lately supply in cabinet always quite depleted...napkins rationed out, as is salt and pepper. Always love taking the time to catch a bite to eat here. The chef, formerly of Octane's in downtown runs a great eatery! The food is wonderful and I highly recommend either the pulled pork or pot roast. Both cooked 14 hours using a secret method that develops fantastic flavor and tenderness. No dryness what so ever!
