Thrifty Boutique Resale & Consignment Shoppe — Local services in Rockford Township

The 1st time I visited this store I left beyond happy. The clothes were beautiful. The ladies were so kind and helpful. I told them how I have lost 130 lbs in the last year and a half and am now trying to figure out what size I am and they were so nice and gave me nice compliments. When they heard me say i was a shoe addict they made it a point to show me the shoe room. They had a big sale and I definitely took advantage of it. When my arms were full they asked if I wanted them to hold some stuff for me while I keep shopping which I was very grateful for. I was putting this place on my list of "resale stores to visit again". That has changed. I visited the store again and my experience was the exact opposite of the 1st time I was there. When I walked in I was no acknowledged at all. No "hi", no "welcome", nothing. They carried on their conversation with each other. I shopped for 20ish mins and none of the employees said a word to me. I was a little sad there wasn't a sale at all but I know there won't always be. When I wanted to try my overflowing arms of stuff on I walked to their area and asked for a fitting room. I was ignored and they just kept talking to each other. I wasn't talking quiet, I had a normal volume. And even if they didn't hear me, I was standing right in front of them. It wasn't until I asked a 2nd time loudly did they stop talking and acknowledged me and told me which room I could use. After trying my items on and deciding I had to again ask twice to check out. They weren't friendly and didn't thank me or anything. I don't know what happened between my first and second times visiting the store but after this visit I don't lknow if...

Usually find some more decent end items at an okay price. Went here mostly when i was plus sized and working retail needing business casual attire and was able to find decent things in that size. Last couole times i went they were closed. Tried to sell some items but not as easy as i thought it would be. But thats also cuz im a class A lazy person. They definitely take pride in their stock and ya cant blame em for it. Aa a result they can be kinda snooty. Now that ivw lost some qwight id like to see what cool finds i can find in my size. 🤔 cute...
