On 3/5/2021 at 1:30PM I drove through the drive thru at the 314 Mulford location in Rockford ordering 2 double cheeseburgers, one large fry, and three small shamrock shakes. Simple right? After arriving at my granddaughters home not too far from the Mulford store, I immediately discovered, yet again, that my order was shorted one sandwich. My receipt indicates that I ordered two and paid for two but received only one. This location has gotten orders wrong thru their drive up window for years. When I called and talked to a lady named Maria of the issue she immediately starting spouting excuses for her inept staff. She offered to replace the whole order. Seriously? I worked at the Elk Grove store back in the mid sixties when I was in high school where we conducted a million dollar lunch daily and we never received reviews like this. Read moreThe McDonalds on Mulford Road in Rockford, IL is by far the best McDonalds in town and the best one I've ever been to anywhere. Usually McDonalds is not that great and it is management's fault because the employees are not trained properly. I was a Crew Trainer in the '80's for another chain restaurant, was a restaurant server for years and I was a Mystery Shopper specifically looking for all the possible things employees were doing right and what they were doing wrong and the cleanliness of the stores, etc. I KNOW customer service and the importance of doing things properly. For this McDonalds (I almost always go through drive-thru) I would actually use the word outstanding to describe the employees and their attitudes! They are mostly adults and some have worked there a long time. Everything is great from getting the order correct the first time, to how fast the service is and always with a pleasant friendly attitude to ALWAYS there being a napkin in the bag- a rare luxury for a lot of places. Read moreI am sad to say that this place is not professional at all. Especially during the night time. The food was warm/cold side and the employees are rude. They are rude when it is not your fault. I ordered a simple 10 piece and had coupon. Paid my bill checked my bag and see that they gave me a 6 piece. I advised them she like well I have to return it and i won't get my discount and was rude. She said I couldnt use my code. I told her that it was not my fault and she said it is not her problem. Someone else did offer me a 4 piece for free and we left. After checking the receipt they did a mcpick 2. The girl did not even look at the receipt or anythign to help. This could have been easily resolved if she looked at the receipt. I don't care if I have to pay more money just get it right and accept my coupon. Her attitude was horrible and I have kids in the car asking why she is acting like that.
