Number 1 Oriental Buffet — Restaurant in Rockford Township

My wife and I saw the sign from outside we're hungry so we went in and proceeded to sit down The young host just came and asked us what we would like to drink we told her and we seated to go up to the buffet with grab some plates pick what we wanted to eat came back the table and started eating The food was less than edible very untasty and you could tell had been on the line for a while..... That being said the atmosphere wasn't the greatest either but what caught us by surprise was the older woman sitting at a table where she appeared to be rolling silverware into paper napkins was taking her shoes off picking between her toes I thought I was seeing things then an elderly gentleman brought over some more silverware she proceeded to put her shoes back on walked over to another table grabbed all the silverware that was wrapped and took it to another station now I'm just saying the fact that she was picking her toes was really bad but to walk over and pick up wrapped cutlery that the customers are going to use to eat their food was just plain nasty I had my wife look around and see herself she also saw the woman doing this with her feet ...this place is disgusting I wouldn't give it a one as far as I'm concerned the health department how to stop by their daily we paid $40 we didn't even need our food and we...

I have been eating here for over twenty years, and I keep coming back, but not more than a few times a year. It's not the best restaurant in town by any means. The food is all fine, but I don't think it's super (at least lately), although it's my son's favorite restaurant. To be fair, this business model requires a certain level of traffic to operate at peak performance, and with the pandemic issues, that's rather difficult to do right now.

I like that you can walk in and get seated right away and that there is a variety of food to please everyone. In addition to the expected Asian food, there is also fish, pizza, chicken nuggets, and other options. The variety makes it nice for any group that wants to go together without having to really agree on the menu. I have been here with a lot of different groups, and no one has left hungry.

Haven’t been there in years. I figured I would give it a try and see how it was. It was a good buffet when I was in high school. But sadly it wasn’t the same as it was previous years ago. I noticed there was not a lot of selection. What kind of Chinese buffet that doesn’t offer most Chinese dishes and appetizers no Pot stickers, Egg tarts, Chinese donuts, Mongolian beef , Egg foo young, Broccoli and Beef, Etc… The Lo mein didn’t look appetizing to me so I didn’t bother with it… I don’t recommend coming here because the selection of food just isn’t there unfortunately. You’re better off going to Golden chopsticks in Loves park.This place doesn’t have anything on Golden chopsticks . That is the place to go. I will not be returning to this establishment.
