This place is a nice place to go. I've gone here on many occasions and many different days. I've gone to see music I have gone to just eat dinner and I've gone to have a drink with my friends. My wife plays in the band The Fire Light dimmers. It's a nice place to have a meal and listen to her sing Lounge music. I like all of the selection of English food. I usually either get the fish and chips or the shepherd's pie. The atmosphere is dark and cozy they have a pool table and chess by the fire. There's also darts and a ring game that's pretty interesting. Hands down this is the only bar around that can make a decent snake bite. My favorite is a Guinness and Strongbow. Most other places you'll get a snakebite that's kind of mixed but here it's clearly divided and a really good experience. I think this restaurant is a well-rounded restaurants that offers many different atmospheres Under One Roof. I've never been dissatisfied with their food quality or their customer service. I will continue to go here and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my...
Read moreThis is a restaurant my wife and I had been looking forward to go to for a long time. What a let down! We ordered a beer, a scotch egg, the fish and chips, and the Reuben and it was $72!! The Reuben had three thin slices of corned beef on it, there was more bread than beef. If you order a Reuben you expect it to be stacked high especially for that price. The cod was super mid and luke warm once it arrived. The scotch egg is served cold which is different from every other English pub I’ve been to and they offer a warmed up option well I figured they would just throw it into the fryer for a few minutes but instead they cut it up and warmed it in a skillet. Finally we were sat directly next to the only other couple in the entire restaurant. Maybe our expectations were too high, if the total meal would have been half the price then maybe it would have been worth it. We will not be going back. Again,...
Read moreWe stopped for dinner. The decor is reminiscent of what English style pubs might be like. Large selection of beers and other cocktails. We tried a few things on the menu. Our entrees both arrived barely warm. The Shepard's pie would have been much better if it was actually hot. Same with baked cod and mashed potatoes, which were also cool and bland. We had soup and a dinner salad and those were pretty good. I feel like there is microwaving or another form of reheating involved in the cooking here because we ordered a dessert that was a reheated brownie type cake with ice cream. The "loo" was quite dark and didn't have TP in the stall, so I had to go searching in other stalls... which was not a surprising end to the visit. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The bill was about 65-70.00 with no...
