4 Heroes grill — Restaurant in Rocklin

Wow, this was truly some of the tastiest food I've ever eaten! I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food, and I've been to almost every place in the area that sells falafel. This is #1 in my book. I ordered the combination plate with chicken and falafel. It's served on a bed of rice, as usual, and it comes with a side of fries and salad. It also came with a serving of lentil soup as an appetizer. Every single item was fresh and delicious. The owner (I think he's the owner) brought me a sample of the hummus, insisting that I "had to try it." And he was right. It's a must have on all my future orders.

I immediately texted my brother to tell him he had to try this place, since he loves gyros. He texted me a couple of days later to tell me that he tried them, and they were "by far the best he's ever had, and it's not even close."

Service was also very friendly. They make you feel like a valued guest when you're there. Definitely a 5 star...

This is 3.5 to 4 stars (good food, great service, lots of interesting pictures/decor to look at while waiting).

They kindly brought us two samples of their lentil soup while we were waiting for the "Famous Gyro Sandwich" and the "Mediterranean Style Falafel". The soup with a crispy pita was pretty tasty. Out of the other two orders I really enjoyed the falafel - a perfect balance of mint/veggies/sauce that with that mouthful of freshness it paired well with the perfectly cooked crispy fries.

The gyro was a great bite but the meat was a bit salty. This could be just me and typical of gyros - I've had gyros from two different restaurants in the last few weeks and noticed the same heavy salt flavoring? This one was much better if that...

This place is very friendly. I loved the Falafel Wrap which was substantial. It had a few great sauces built in - hummus, some with garlic, and also traditional red cabbage sauce. Plenty of good lettuce, tomatoes, etc. and the falafels themselves were perfect and nourishing. They've decorated all their rooms (including restroom) with beautiful plants and pictures that reflect the history of the owners, So the imaginative vibe here really contributes to the mall.
