Pasta Zone — Restaurant in Rocklin

We are very excited that finally something opened up after so many years in this empty plaza and it’s such a cool place with a concept that works for literally anyone and everyone who loves delicious and good quality food. Plus we also try to always support small and local! The pasta that we tried exceeded all of our expectations. Creamy sauce with a pasta that is rich of flavor and an amazing cheesy parmesan crust was absolutely immaculate! My wife is currently on keto diet and there was an option for her as well, it was made with pesto sauce and she loved it too. While we waited for our pasta which was only 4-6 minutes, we were able to see the space where they make their own pasta just like they advertise! We were given a little buzzer so we were able to wander off and explore the place while our pasta was baking. This place making their own pasta is so great especially in todays world where so many things are frozen or are pre prepped and shipped to a restaurant. If you live in the neighborhood or honestly anywhere near this area this place is a definite a must try and can always solve your lunch or dinner problems!

I wanted to check out Pasta Zone for a while. It was a good to very good experience.

First, after "building your food," essentially telling the behind the counter person what items you wanted, they take your specific pasta and toppings and bake it. What they give you to eat actually looks and tastes very good.

While other reviewers say that the pasta is made fresh, I didn't see any sign, nor did anyone point that out. There were 5 or 6 pastas all looking ok.

There were 3 sauces: bolognese, marinara, and a cream sauce. We tried marinara and bolognese. Both good.

Added mushrooms, spinach, and a massive amount of parmigiana and mozzarella. All of the above is taken and baked.

Side notes: The shopping center this restaurant is in is under populated and sad looking. The landlord didn't give Pasta Zone a good location.

Other note: the "Zone" is a very large place indoors. Yet, the choices of foods/ toppings is jammed into an area maybe 2 feet wide-- not very impressive presentation. This is purely a "how they merchandise their food" comment. I didn't see the WOW when I entered the building.

Still, we all enjoyed our food here, and would highly recommend it for parents with kids...

I had been really wanting to try this place since it opened so finally my cousin and I were able to go the other day and honestly I was disappointed. I got an og Mac and cheese bowl and added mushroom to it but the whole thing was off putting. The cheese sauce was very thick and there was so much oil the sauce just slid off the noodles and was separating. And since it was baked, the crust on the top just had a weird burnt, Smokey taste I wasn’t a fan of. My cousin wanted the garlic oil sauce as advertised on their website but they did not end up having it so she had to get butter since she can’t eat sauce.
