Chick N Scratch — Restaurant in Rockmart

We drive from Carrollton to Rockmart and pass several bakery’s to get to Chicken Scratch Bakery . If you have never been there , you know what I’m talking about. For those of you that haven’t, you definitely need to go. I don’t believe they have a bad baked good in the place. If you like peanut butter, you have to try the peanut butter bars . So i asked for a dinosaur themed cake for my sons 3rd birthday with vanilla cake and icing. The decorations was ok and cute the icing was good but the cake was not vanilla it was more like spice cake so it was rather disappointing for my son. The cake was good for a spuce cake but not ok when you expect to get a white vanilla cake! Also i tried to pick it up before work on friday they said they open at 6am i waited for 10min nope they didnt open and when i brought it up when i picked up my cake all i got told is oh yea we got a late start! We don’t even live there … but plan to order when we are in town!

We ordered 2 cheesecakes for Thanksgiving and a friend overheard us ordering … and they ordered 2 as well. Now everyone wants us to pick up another one every time we go see our daughter! One Hot Cocoa with Marshmallows (so sweet and good) and one New York style. Scrumptious!
