Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Rockmart

What has happened to the service here in the last month? My family and I eat here at least twice a week, and the workers on the first shift usually recognize me when I come in. I've always considered this place my favorite place to eat.

The other day, the staff in the back prepared my food incorrectly. I had the receipt, and when I showed it to the girl at the counter, she confirmed it was correct. However, the cook started to argue, insisting that my order was for boneless wings when the receipt clearly stated "traditional wimpy." When I finally received my order, the wings were extremely hot. Sometimes I will get tongue torch this was hotter!! I’m pregnant, and I was so frustrated that I ended up throwing the food away.

Tonight, we went in again and spent $45+, which is typical for our family of four. I ordered the "wings and things" as usual, but after we sat down and waited, the food I received was ice cold—even the wimpy sauce. I asked the girl to feel the wing to confirm how cold it was; it felt like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for hours. My husband's loaded fries were also cold, and the cheese wouldn’t even melt.

This is unacceptable service, and I'm starting to believe it’s the cooks who don’t care. To make matters worse, they started putting up chairs inside at 8:50 PM while also cleaning the bathrooms but they can't get decent food. They don't even close inside until 10:00 I will be calling corporate. One time the girl told us we close in an hour just letting you know and they was cleaning up as well. If I have an hour to eat that's plenty of time at a restaurant such as Longhorns or something. I don't need an hour to eat Zaxby's I need better service...

Lately I feel like I'm only leaving reviews of my local restaurants when I have something bad to say. I'll leave reviews of new places, good or bad, but for local places I tend to only speak up when it's yuck. With that in mind, I thought about what I've had lately that wasn't bad. Believe it or not, it took a minute. The few times we've had dinner from local places it consisted of raw chicken and an order so messed up it had to be an on purpose. Then I remembered that our dinner from Zaxby's wasn't bad. So, good job Zaxby's. You win by default and get a decent review. The fingers are slightly smaller, less meaty, than I prefer, and so much deep fried foods in one meal isn't great for my coronary artery disease, but... hey! You are consistent and the food is not bad. Good job at sucking much much less than the competition. Man, I am becoming too negative. Heading the The Rails tomorrow. Totally expect it to be good. Since when did they make the drinks smaller? Made the drinks smaller meanwhile still raising the prices of there meals. As if that makes any sense??🤦‍♀️Not to mention they catch an attitude when you ask for extra seasoning for your fries because they already don’t put any on the fries. If they put seasoning on the fries already we wouldn’t have to ask for extra seasoning! If zaxbys is going to keep raising there prices they need to increase the amount of food they give you as well. Also when someone orders a coke you are supposed to give them coke right? Not coke cherry, coke vanilla, Diet Coke, etc. if they are out of regular coke they can tell us it’s not a big deal we can choose another drink.
