Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Rockville

YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE A HALF HOUR AGO WITH OUR FOOD. YOUR PHONE RINGS NOTHING BUT BUSY. WE HAVE SEVERAL SMALL CHILDREN AND OTHER STAFF WAITING. AWFUL SERVICE!!!!!!!! ETA my complaint on the Papa Johns Website: I entered an order at 11:30 and requested a 12:30 delivery. When it was not delivered by 12:40, I began to call the restaurant. I received a busy signal for the next 20 minutes every time I tried to call. When I finally reached a representative at the store, I explained that I expected my delivery 30 minutes earlier (it still had not arrived) and was told, "well, our drivers are carrying more than 3 orders". I stated, "I understand, but it seems that, if you know your drivers are going to take longer than usual, you would have sent the food out earlier than usual to make up for it." The person on the phone stated, "We have no control over how fast our drivers go." I stated, again, that I felt that this was poorly planned, at which point the woman on the phone began to raise her voice and yell at me. I then asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold for over 10 minutes, then was hung up on. The delivery driver arrived at about 1:10 pm. I put no responsibility on him. Very poor planning for a busy day at this franchise. I expect a contact to make up for this experience. Leaving small children and others waiting for 40 minutes past a promised time is...

This Papa John’s is sorely lacking on delivery. They are always calling me on their cell at the front door telling me they can’t get in when they can call from the call box so that I can buzz them in. Then when I finally get my pizza it is partially cold and or smashed to one side of the box. The donuts are great though. Be careful reheating them and eating right away. I forgot there was filling in them and burnt my tongue.

The drivers are usually kind of rude when giving me my pizza. They are like here is your pizza and then just leave. I don’t know if that is because of the cultural difference being that my drivers are always international. Some of them have me sign and some don’t. Not too sure about that. If I had a choice where I can get my delivery from I would choose the other one. Pickup there is no problem.

Update 8/12/18 I ordered ahead and they delivered 10 minutes early, okay with that. Went to eat and they didn’t even slice the pizza. Pizza looks a lot better than the last time.

10/13/18 - Delivery order took almost a hour to get to me and the pizza was room temperature. When I ordered I left a note to use the call box, driver called from his car and was like I have your pizza or something since I couldn't understand him. I am so sick of this store. How can we get another store assigned like the one at 18568 Woodfield Rd,...

They list health and safety on the website but please beware as they left my pizza on the floor outside my apartment building during a pandemic and the pizza was not even sealed. The delivery guy called me to let me know no one was at the front desk and i told him someone would be up there momentarily. He didn't wait 1 minute before he left my pizza outside my apartment building on the floor. Keep in mind i asked this be delivered to my door. I called to speak with a manager and he seemed to agree with how things were handled and he was not helpful and only cared to get the old pizza back which i already stated the delivery guy could come back and pick up as i was not going to eat it after that. He actually sounded the same as the delivery guy - so i don't believe at all he was the manager as he stated after i had to ask 6 times. I canceled the order and will not be ordering from this papa johns anymore. Whoever owns this papa johns needs to get the staff in order. I am awaiting my refund - worst...
