China Taste — Restaurant in Rockwall

Being from NY and now living in NJ I have to say I didn’t know what to expect for a Chinese takeout in TX. But I have to say the food was good. I ordered the shrimp with broccoli w/ extra sauce, shrimp egg foo young, Szechuan shrimp and chicken wings for me and my family. The gravy for the egg foo young looked suspect as it was very loose/watery but it was really good. Just not thick like I am used to. Everything was good. And the portion size is very generous. Reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant growing up in the BX. Family owned-the husband/wife/son team was so nice and friendly. We all called the wife mommy.

Don’t judge this book by its cover (the outside) or deter you. Just Order the food. It’s really good and the lady who takes the orders was...

I haven’t ordered from China Taste in a long time so we thought we’d try again. I don’t remember disliking this restaurant but we really like Hunan’s Downtown Rockwall but they’re closed on Mondays. I placed a big order...kids sweet & sour chicken (okay) Sesame Chicken (grey meat, undercooked batter) ChoCho Beef (fatty/stringy) Fried Crab Cheese Wontons (doughy/undercooked) & Vegetable Lo-Mein (absolutely no flavor & broccoli gooey) I rarely & I mean rarely EVER call to complain but I spent $40 and more than half of the food went into the trash. The Owner literally refused to do anything about it and wanted to come to my house & go thru the trash to see if I really threw the food out...Are you kidding me?...

Always buy from here and when asked about address the KID (not even legal to be working, plus they have the little girl working too when he's not there smh!!) over the phone line was extremely rude, and cut me off mid-sentence telling me can you just wait.....like what....I've had delivery before and now they're upcharging all of the sudden. Maybe just a suggestion don't have children working there and hire own help especially when u upcharge people for asking for stuff to left out. I've been ordering close to a year and idk what's going on with them recently but it's upsetting enough to make a review but I'm never ordering from here again and wouldn't recommend or bring my...
