Ok, so it has taken a while for me to decide to finally leave this review because of how upset and pissed of I was with this whole experience!! I gave 1 star because I had to but I wish I could leave a -5 or worse.
I had a 2 day rental for a mulcher and a trailer and the VERY RUDE employee DAVE was beyond rude from the moment we walked in the door. I walked in and he stood there just looking at me like I had no business being there so I said yes sir im here for a rental and he said "you mean a reservation" and I was like ummm ok I thought it was the same thing but ok. After that he barely said all of 2 words to us. He never really said anything except to sign for the rental. I then told him that we were parked by the trailers and he walked off out the door without saying a word. We had not clue where he went and he was gone for a while and then walks back in and says to me and my 18 year old son.."Do yall plan on coming out here or not?"
At that point I was pissed! So we walked outside get the trailer and pull up to the door to get the mulcher. Before my son, that is there to help move the equipment, can get out of the truck.. DAVE.. is pissed and making a smart ass comment to me that he cannot load it alone and needs another person to help as he is already trying to do it by himself. At which point I stated my son is going to help if he can wait just a second. He then proceeds to tell me that he "Is busy" and mind you there was no one else there except for the other worker and the customer he was helping.
We get the machine loaded and at that point im thinking he is about to give the instructions on how to use the equipment. Well all we got shown was BARELY how start it and how to stop it... THAT WAS IT!! The man walked away and could not walk away fast enough!!
Fast forward to us getting home and trying to use the equipment... we spent most of the first day trying to figure out how to use it.. Sat on YouTube and everything. Then we couldn't get it to start because we had a piece of wood stuck.. So I tried calling the store and of course got no answer, and while I was standing next to the machine I see a sticker with a number to call incase of problems... Call them and left a voicemail.. never got a call back.. well after watching almost 3 hours of YouTube and unable to use the machine for even more we found out how get the piece of wood unstuck and we were able to get it started again.
I truly feel like our whole first day was wasted for sure and so was our money!! It was HORRIBLE customer service and I am just thankful that he was not there when we had to drop everything off! The gentleman there, Kendall, when we dropped everything was off was SUPER nice and VERY apologetic since he was there to witness what we went through.
I will NEVER rent from this company again!! And I will NEVER recommend renting from here!! That man SHOULD NOT be renting your equipment out!! He is going to get someone hurt or killed. And definitely get your...
Read moreSpent literally $$$ on plumbing/lumber/parts/plants/soil/fertilizer etc. at this store. Purchased 5 shrubs/plants on 2 separate purchases in March & September 2022 that unfortun. died due to the exceptionally low temps we had & hard freezes of recent. Lost them, despite me wrapping to shield them. Called in advance about shrubs and told 1yr warranty on plants, just bring plants & receipt. I get there wait in line approx 5mins and my turn comes. They can't perform a refund back to my orig. methods of payment/says it's not letting them, but can do a store credit. Okay, no prob..they ask for my license, I give it, but then why does that not work either. She hands it back and says there's some database that keeps track of returns tied to licenses and mine just won't let it go thru. Now I'm concerned. I don't ever make returns of plants and never made a return using my license or without a receipt that didn't go thru or refunded. The rep. calls another rep., who says as long as it's under a yr & you have the receipt it should refund but maybe it's the receipts are over a yr. One tells the other no it's less, but they both reck and sure enough that's not it. They then try my husbands license and same thing. We spent 20minutes behind that and ultimately the rep tells the other, maybe it's the amt, try a smaller amt. Thank the Lord, sure enough, that worked, but then said we can't get the remainder under same driver's license. Not used to any of this, but I'm thankful he happened to be there with me while all of this was gong on. So we were like okay, whatever - do what ya gotta do. We think we're done with this issue and head to ckout after buying a few things which it's not 10mins after lvg Customer Service with them in hand and go to pay by apply one of them with the smallest amt on it - TTL was less than $40 and it's not working. That cashier couldn't get it to work either, then said it was somehow deactivated. We were told to go back to customer service to get it corrected and reactivated. By then the line there was now out the wazoo there & we waited again another 6-8mins. Get up there and different rep. tells us each store credit issued to us is tied to each of our driver's licenses. Well nobody mentioned that at all when they were issued to us that what they did up there initially, affected the applicaton at checkout too, nor did they attempt to mark (the cards look the exactly the same when glancing) so we'd had no clue which one was tied to which of us. Had we known all this, we could have used them accordingly. All this trouble, considering I paid by credit card for all of the plants under 2-purchases myself originally. The Home Depot's policy seems to be making it hard to gain access to your refund under their "1 year return policy & guarantee" in any form, even store credit. Total hassle and a real waste of my time while i am thankful for the 1yr policy, it's just a really hard time to get the refund no matter which form...
Read moreThis Home Depot is terrible. We just needed to replace our dishwasher that had broken so we went here to buy one. We also paid for installation and haul-away.
So they show up with the wrong one and just leave it at our house. When my husband called the store he kept being put on hold and passed from person to person and finally told someone would call him back. By the time I was leaving work no one had called him back so I went to the store to see what was going on.
The man that worked in appliances was incredibly disrespectful to me. The mistake turned out to be his because he had the wrong sign above the dishwasher we chose, so when he scanned it for the order, he was scanning for a different machine. He didn't apologize and really seemed put off by me coming to the store. He told me he was going on break so I'd just have to wait an hour if I want to be helped. I asked if there was someone else I could work with while he was on break and his answer was a flat out "no". I
So I texted my husband to come up to the store and suddenly this guy changed his tune and decided to be helpful. He scheduled a delivery of the new one and sent us to customer service. So a week or so later we were supposed to be getting a new one installed, our old one hauled away, and the wrong one picked up.
We get a call a day before the delivery that says it is now out of stock and will be three more weeks. Then the day before the next delivery we get a call saying it's being pushed back another few days.
So over a month after we bought this thing, our correct one was finally delivered. BUT they refused to install it (which we paid for), they refused to haul away our old one (which we paid for), and they refused to pick up the wrong one that was originally delivered to us. They said that if Home Depot didn't put it on the delivery order, they can't do it. He was actually pretty nice and said that this Rockwall Home Depot has been really screwing orders up lately.
So now my husband is installing it himself while we have two sitting in our garage taking up one of our cars spots, we are out the cost of the installation and haul-away, and we can't reach anyone helpful at the store on the phone.
