Pollo Regio’s rotisserie chicken is delicious, juicy, and flavorful and hands down some of the best I’ve ever had! The chicken is always perfectly seasoned, and packed with authentic flavor. The smoky, charred taste from their traditional cooking method makes it stand out from other rotisserie options.
Not only is the chicken so great, but it also goes perfectly with their fresh sides like charro beans, rice, and grilled onions. Their salsas add just the right kick. I love the green cilantro sauce. The portion sizes for the chicken are a nice size. I get the whole chicken meal with 8 pieces, 2 sides, tortillas, and salsas. This is supposed to feed 4 people. I don’t think there are enough sides to do that though. Maybe two people, but not even for two. For $30.99 I think you should have enough sides. Rice and beans aren’t that expensive.
The sauces and salsas are great, plus the pico de gallo. I didn’t think the queso was very good though. It tasted like the canned cheese sauce you get on nachos at a ball game. Good queso at a Mexican restaurant is VERY important.
They have several meat choices to choose from besides the rotisserie chicken. My son got loaded fries with barbacoa. The barbacoa was very finely shredded. I didn’t particularly like that way and would have preferred probably the steak or carne asada.
But the customer service was very nice. I spoke with Tori and she handled my complicated order brilliantly and had everything ready to go for pickup. Thanks Tori for all your help! I had to call the location because the website wasn’t functioning properly. It wouldn’t let me change the automatic choices to other choices that were offered.
Pollo Regio has a convenient drive thru for picking up family meals to-go, but I think you can dine in also. If you love flavorful, well-cooked chicken, this place is a must-try! Highly...
Read moreIf you're looking for a great taco spot that stands out from the regular, look no further than this local gem! As someone who usually seeks out food trucks and hidden "hole in the wall" tacos, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this place each time I've went.
First off, the drive-thru experience was (surprisingly) a highlight - my expectations aren't very high for drive-thrus. Torrie's bright smile at the window instantly lifted my spirits and made me feel welcomed. She's also always happy to answer any questions that I have about the menu. It’s not every day you encounter such genuine friendliness in fast food - especially at a drive-thru!
This time I had carne asada nachos (instead of my regular go-to of tacos) and they were worth every minute of the brief wait I had due to the person in front of me. It's clear that they prioritize quality, as everything is made fresh to order. The flavors were great! The nachos came with melted cheese, carne asada, jalapenos, guac, salsa verde, pico, sour cream and refried beans. The tacos I've tried are chicken and carne asada, I believe I've tried another but can't remember which off the top of my head.
While the wait was a tad longer than I’m used to, it was completely understandable considering it's made to order and some people have larger orders. If you're craving delicious, fresh tacos and a dose of positivity, this spot is a must-visit! I'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to see Torrie's...
Read morePollo Regio is a fascinating paradox... It’s not a sit-down restaurant, yet you might spend as much time in their drive-thru as you would at a full-service restaurant. Except here, your server is the guy in the car behind you honking because he's equally baffled by the wait...
Now, let’s talk about pricing! Mexican food is famously made from some of the most affordable ingredients on the planet—rice, beans, tortillas, chicken. Yet somehow, Pollo Regio has managed to price it as if they’re importing it from a Michelin-starred abuela in Spain. A meal here will run you the same (if not more) than a proper sit-down restaurant, minus the table, chair, and dignity of not eating in your car.
That being said, the food is delicious. Juicy, well-seasoned grilled chicken, smoky salsas, and those buttery charro beans that almost make you forgive the fact that you aged a year in the drive thru. Almost.
So, if you have time to kill, money to burn, and a craving for flame grilled chicken with a side of existential questioning, Pollo Regio is your spot. Otherwise, you might want to consider cooking at home...
