My husband & I decided to try this place out for Valentine's Day last night. We purposely made a late reservation thinking it would not be so crowded...we could not have been more wrong. We walk in & all of the staff were super stressed out. They were discussing that fact to each other as well. You could tell no one wanted to be there. They told us the wait for our table would be awhile. The place was packed like sardines. We were early which did not help matters. The bar was completely full. My husband went to the bar to wait to try to get us a couple drinks. There weren't any seats available so we had to stand there awkwardly in the tiny lobby trying not to be in everyone's way without spilling our drinks. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, our table was ready. We get seated at the tiniest table in the middle of the room, which felt extremely awkward. I was careful not to stick my elbows out too far for fear of hurting someone walking by. Our server was very unhappy & barely had a voice when she introduced herself. We felt really bad for her as she was extremely stressed out. She was very polite & was very attentive considering the circumstances. We placed our order & we asked for our steaks to be cooked medium well & well done. We both know that is not the normal temp for steaks, but that is how we prefer them. Apparently, the chef did not agree with our preference at all. We both received our expensive steaks a bit bloody & VERY RARE. My husband was VERY UPSET considering the price. We dared not to even complain about it though. Most people are familiar with the movie "Waiting." We were not going there for any reason, especially this night. My husband was able to eat about 3 to 4 bites that were mostly cooked. He lost his appetite as he was cutting into the steak & some blood came trickling out. He looked at me & said this isn't "The Renegade" & this never would've happened at Longhorn. He understood why we had chosen this place, because of the atmosphere, & it was highly recommended to us, by word of mouth, from several people. Unfortunately, we were extremely underwhelmed. Other than all of that, the bread, the baked potatos, & the french onion soup (although a bit salty) were great! Finally, we were finished eating & couldn't wait for our check. Had we had a better experience, we would've ordered dessert when we were asked. We quickly declined & couldn't wait to pay & get the heck out of there. The place had emptied by the time we were waiting for our check. We noticed a huge party of people left that took up half the restaurant & the stress from the servers seemed to evaporate upon their departure. It looked like they were related to who we thought to be the owner possibly? Anyway, he went around asking how people were doing, but seemed to only pay attention to the people he knew or thought was important? Either way, we knew we would never, ever come back here again. I am sure that they could care less about that as well, as it seemed very popular. Despite all of the issues, we made sure to tip our server around 26% regardless. None of this was her fault at all. We almost forgot our take home box on the table. She tracked my husband down & gave it to him. That was REALLY cool of her. It always pays to tip well. I joked w.my husband & said at least when we warm up our leftover steaks tomorrow, they will finally be cooked the way we originally ordered them! I also promised him that I would make this night up to him & take him to Longhorn shortly. It was the most he had smiled all night. I don't necessarily think this place was a really bad restaurant, but just the WORST night we could've picked to try somewhere new? Valentine's night & on a Friday this year was just crazy. Well, I do hope others that try this place for the 1st time, have a MUCH better experience at Ferris Steakhouse...
Read moreWe went there for our anniversary. I had not been to the restaurant in many years. So we were excited to go. The food and the experience were horrible. I ordered steak and scampi with a wedge salad and my husband ordered steak. We both ordered wedge salad and told the kitchen to just box them up so we would take them home when I got my dinner. The potatoes were way too salty, and the steak was also way too salty, and the meat was dry, so it was sent back, when my meal came again, the steak was raw on the inside so I sent it back and told them to keep it. I never ate the potatoes on the second meal. However, I did eat the two scampi on the first meal and they were good when we got our check I was charged for scampi dinner. I had two scampi and no side dish is what I ate the scampi add on were $17 each, if the restaurant was gonna even charge me for any dinner, they should’ve charged me for the two add-on scampi, which is how I ordered my meal. I spoke with the owner who was very rude and had no intention on adjusting the bill. Any other restaurant I would’ve been to they would’ve comped my dinner , so I’m looking now a Bill that has two wedge salads that I paid six dollars each upgrade charge. As well as the scampi dinner that I ate two scampi and no side dish the owner was not gonna compromise and not care to work with me on the pricing so in the end, we paid $159 for a meal that was ridiculously , horrible and an experience it was horrible. To top things off the next day when I went to eat the wedge salad at lunch all the lettuce was rotten. Which meant the lettuce was rotten when it left the kitchen. I would not recommend steakhouse to my worst enemy , I had remembered it to be a great steakhouse with a nice atmosphere. Well that has definitely changed. Go to strip in Avon. You’ll get a better meal and...
Read moreWe planned a 45th birthday dinner and had a party of 14. The whole experience was ruined from beginning to end. We arrived on time but were rushed to order. We started out with two different servers Mike and Linda. Mike was doing great but disappeared, Linda took over no it went downhill fast after that. She totally forgot my order took the whole tables order and came back to get mine 10 min later. I ordered a med steak and got a very dry med well steak (as a steak house they should know to cook at desired temp). Another person at the party ordered scampi and received scallops when she stated politely she ordered scallops Linda began to argue with her saying she did order scallops! When it was time to pay the real nightmare began. We had duplicate items charged on duplicate checks. We had items that were never ordered out on checks. We had a whole check added to our table that was another tables check. When trying to explain to Linda these were charges in error we were told “you people ate it so who’s paying for it. They ended up calling the police after we left accusing us of skipping out on $350 of our bill. I called the restaurant asked for the owner to explain we have receipts for all our checks he rudely said I’m not discussing this over the the phone. After our whole party of 14 traveled back to the restaurant to show out receipts and “prove we paid” the $350 owed miraculously turned into $32 they claimed was unpaid. At this point even the police had enough and left. The OWNER proceeded to say “ just...
