I'm from Michigan and have been looking for a boba tea to get while I travel to Ohio for work. While driving today I saw the sign out front and decided to stop.
Tried the Brown Sugar milk tea with tapioca boba and the mango fruit tea with mango popping. I would really recommend the brown sugar milk tea with tapioca. The tapioca boba came warm like they were fresh (I'm assuming they are). Both drinks weren't overly sweet.
The service was great as well. I'm assuming it was the owner. He was patient with the couple ahead of me who didn't know what they wanted immediately.
The shop is also environmentally friendly as everyone gets a reusable cup & lid. They still use plastic straws tho. It's a great effort to reduce single use plastics that most boba shops typically do! Great job Emo Friend!
Lastly the inside is decorated as you'd expect by your Emo Friend. It has CD sleeves on the walls, Record sleeves, Posters, motorcycle jackets, and more. There's also a Marshall speaker playing some tunes.
I'd go back and I recommend the Brown Sugar Milk tea with tapioca boba as my favorite so...
Read moreI heard about this place via Tiktok, and I knew I had to check it out. Although a little small, the entire place is filled with nothing but charm. I got a green apple tea with strawberry popping bubbles, and it was absolutely amazing! There were even little apple shreds in the tea itself, which was an unexpected but pleasant surprise.
The owner was so nice, too. My best friend and I probably spent at least 30 minutes just talking to him. Talking about the business and what it has been like running an alternative themed boba tea shop. (Which I want to add is such a great idea!) And he was astonished to know that we drove two hours to try it.
Needless to say. If you love the alternative world and want a chill place that also shares in that love. Check this place out! You...
Read moreI want to preface by saying that I never really leave bad reviews but I came into this excited for really good bubble tea because of the 5 star reviews and left disappointed and frustrated.
The space is small and there is little room for waiting when things are busy. We ordered a matcha, a thai, and a jasmine milk tea. It came around to about $23. When we got our drinks all three were warm and the little ice that had been in them had melted in both the thai and the jasmine tea. The thai was syrupy and warm, but it was the better of the three. The matcha and the jasmine were both undrinkable and were thrown away.
I really had my hopes up going to this place, and I'd like to believe that we just caught them on a bad day, but it felt like a...
