Was at the Rogers location and all meals including a breakfast dish, cheeseburger meals were swimming in grease. The eggs had grease pooled on top and tried to remove with a napkin - soaking the napkin. The hashbrowns, cheeseburgers and French fries were soaked in oil as well. The bottom of the buns were soggy with grease and unable to be picked up or eaten. Should not have eaten any of it as everyone was feeling ill within a half hour after leaving. We asked the waiter about the grease and only one of the three meals were taken off the bill even though all three were saturated. Called the next day and spoke with Val the general manager who let us know that she would have to contact the owners as there was nothing that she could do and explained that young kids are cooking the food and using heavy grease is just an expectation for that age. A call was returned from Val and an offer of $20 gift card was offered to be mailed which of course never did arrive.
Dennys used to be a place we would frequent at the Rogers location-we will miss this place but will drive down the road to either Clives or Maynards for better food...
Read moreI had the misfortune of walking into Denny's, expecting a decent meal and some basic human decency. What I got was a whole lot of nothing. As I stood at the front door, I was completely ignored by the hostess, who seemed to be staring right through me. It was as if I was invisible, and it didn't take a genius to wonder if it had something to do with the color of my skin. The minutes ticked by, and I watched as a white family greeted with a smile and promptly seated. Meanwhile, I just stood there, feeling like a ghost hovering outside the entrance. The silence was deafening, and the lack of acknowledgment was palpable.
Let me be clear: Denny's has some serious issues with diversity and inclusion, or at least that's how it felt during my visit. If you're not part of their perceived "target demographic," then you might as well be invisible. And honestly, who needs that kind of toxic atmosphere when there are plenty of other restaurants out there that actually value their customers? Needless to say, I won't be back at Denny's anytime soon. Zero stars from this disappointed – and...
Read moreTypical Denny's with consistent food from what I remember as I haven't been to one in over 5 years. Service was good and the place was clean but a bit run down. My issue for 2 stars was a family in the corner watching Youtube on their phone very loud. After they got their food itr was quiet for a few seconds then the wife got a phone call. Yes, on speaker so everyone on our side could hear the conversation. Completely ruined lunch for everyone I was sitting with. Matter of fact we never got done eating and left as fast as we could. Will not go back, I will stay where people have some basic empathy and common sense. I expected the staff to mention to the family to turn it down a tad. or use head phones. If talking in a loud voice for 10 minutes on a phone call, please excuse yourself and take it of speaker.
To be fair, as a retired combat vets we all have hearing issues that large amount of background...
