Went for lunch with my son. We usually get the cold shoulder anywhere we go because it's usually just us two, and people assume we will not tip well. So I was not surprised by the same treatment here. Surprise! If you treat us with respect, and you service us just like any other patron, I tip 50-100% of the bill because we don't usually have a high bill. That being said, I felt a bit rushed to order. When we did receive our order, I simply asked for a spoon for my son to eat because the waiter only gave us one set of utensils (a knife and a fork). Well, we never got said spoon. When I tried waving him down two tables over, he walked off. He didn't show back up our entire meal. I waited a while...He didn't ask if everything was good. Which, honestly wasn't because the beans were not cooked thoroughly and were crunchy, just like the rice my son wouldn't eat beacuse it was crunchy. They should be translucent in the middle, not white. But you, waiter will never know. Yes, I did leave a tip because I work in the service industry and know how hard it can be, but please know that you have to show more respect to those individuals you underestimate. On a final note, we will not be returning because I am currently sick to my stomach from lunch, and my son has also been feeling...
Read moreOTB used to be a solid joint. Salsa used to be pretty dang good.
Girl and I wanted fajitas and cheese dip. We knew it going in. Told the waitress that's why we were there. Insisted on only taking appetizer order.
Atmosphere is dead. Place was empty. May have been music playing, couldn't say. Joyless. Soulless.
Queso not very good, probably in the warmer too long, had started to break down. Salsa was serviceable.
We wanted fajitas for the two of us. Que the 20 questions about what we were wanting, was it for one with extra meat, or for two with more beans and rice. Hey, lady, fajitas for my girl and I.
Only napkins were small paper ones wrapped around fork. So fajitas, finger food, lots of juices, what do you think we might need? We had to tell her.
One good thing she did was bring more drink before ours was empty. Tip o the hat there.
The dessert question was "did we save any room for dessert?" How do they let servers ask that? 100% the worst way to sell a dessert.
So waitress was an order taker, not somebody in charge of making sure we had a good time and a memorable experience.
There's a taqueria up the road, Michoacan, go there. Better food, better atmosphere, better service at...
Read moreThe good- white queso was delicious, chips and salsa great as well. The bad- We were asked to wait at the front for almost 10 mins due to "low staff" even though the restaurant only had about 5 tables sat. We requested a high chair for our toddler, which they gave us but took away because of a safety concern for the staff, we were also asked to move to a table next to the bathrooms with our 3 children. We waited 30+ mins for our food. My beef nachos had stale/old chips with barely any beef. It was really sad looking but I couldn't eat it because of the old chips (which tasted nothing like the chips that came with the salsa). By this point we were definitely ready to leave, but after 10 mins waiting for the receipt/our credit card to make it back to us, we decided to walk to the front and ask for it there. Cliff notes version- way way way understaffed and the employees are struggling. A positive customer experience is going down the drain as a result. We don't place the blame on the employees, it's just the current situation we're in. I've read the same about the row of restaurants on this road. I honestly cannot see us returning. I signed up for the email club today but I've already...
