I went to Belk on my lunch because they are supposed to have Rockports. I am a woman with back issues and Rockports are the best. I asked when I get there where they are and the lady points me to the men's. A man noticed the error and asked if I needed men's or women's. I say women's and they tell me they only carry men's. Okay, that's annoying, but I'm there. So the lady is just standing there basically staring at me and I ask if she can help me find some other ones. I tell her I need something like what I'm wearing in a wide. She says they don't carry any wides so I decided to go ahead and look. There were two pairs that looked like they might work and they seemed really comfortable. So I asked her if I could try those on in a size 8. She said she would go back and get them. She comes out and tells me that they don't have the one in an 8 so she bought me a 9. I tell her that a 9 won't work and take the other box. I open the box and it isn't even remotely close to the shoe that I asked her to bring me. She takes the box and goes to the back again. She comes out and says they don't have them. No apology no enthusiasm to help me find something different, nothing. She had no interest in helping me whatsoever it seemed like I was a burden to her. What small help I received I had to prompt her to give to me. So I told her never mind and I just left. This was only my second time there. I went a few years ago and also had a bad experience. I decided to try today because they supposedly had the brand I wanted and it had been a long time. That was mistake. I will advise people to...
Read moreNot sure I will ever shop here again. I went Thursday to buy a pair of shoes and asked the clerk to please order me a brand new pair and deliver them to my home. She gladly obliged. The floor model pair was dirty and had a few stains on them. She correctly read my address and I paid for them. She said it would probably take 7-10 days but more than likely I would get it in 4-5. Yesterday I received a phone call from FedEx saying they couldn’t deliver the package because the address didn’t exist. It didn’t even come close to matching my address - different house number, different street name. So we corrected it. Thank you FedEx for calling me. I receive them today, and it was the same dirty shoes I tried on in the store. Same stains, no paper around them. Just thrown in the box and shipped. I think they thought they were dealing with someone with a terrible memory. I don’t know, but it really irritates me. I can’t even call the store. I get some foreign person I can barely understand, then I’m forwarded to FedEx to ‘fix’ my address because Belk can’t do it on their end. FedEx won’t answer the phone without a tracking number. I’m so fed up with ‘technology’ and true...
Read moreI admit I have not been to Belks in awhile, but have always bought my boots there. I was there a few days ago, things have changed for the worst I am afraid. Now very few price tags, you have to go on line to their app. to find the price of most things, and the sales. Things are way to high, they like Kohls have double or tripled their price to make you think your getting a discount. I left with nothing, very few boots and hundreds of summer sandals on sale. I know the economy is tough right now, but screwing the customer is not the answer. Plus when I went to leave, no one was going in or out but me, I made the mistake of heading to the wrong door. Sales Associate out of no where come running telling me to go out the door next to it. It was only me, both doors are close it was ridiculous.. I guess they are doing what they are told, but it was rude. If I had seen other people I would not have attemped to go through that door. Anyway long story short, this world is changing manners have left...
