This is a fairly new building. It was my understanding that the 'old" building was torn down because it was "nasty". My daughter and I visited last night and decided to eat in. Never again. I have noticed, however, in the past 4-5 months how nasty the dining area and food area was but let it pass as it was all teenagers that appeared to be working. As any adult knows, teenagers are not going to take it on themselves to "clean" what needs to be cleaned unless someone tells them to. I am really surprised that someone hasn't gotten sick eating there. • The trash can at both doors were spilling out over the top to the point that we had to just lay our trash on top of the can-stand. • As I was waiting on my food, I counted 8 flies all over the front counter and the billboard above the counter, not to mention 4 at the drive through drink station. • There was ice cream puddled on the floor behind the registers, the boys that were making the food were "slipping" on food in the floor. • The drive through window looked like it had not been wiped off in a month. • The drink station in the lobby was absolutely disgusting. The wall beside the coke fountain was stained with coke spray. The counter could not have been wiped down all day. The tea container lid was half off and there were gnats everywhere! You could smell the trash at the counter. • They obviously do not soak the coke fountain knobs nightly because it was stopped up and when it finally released, there was a "glob" of green slime that fell into the cup. (When told employee, they said "Thanks.") • The ketchup was stopped up. We told the girl it was out, she checked it and it wasn't ...just clogged. • We had to clean off a table just to be able to sit and eat.
I could go on and on and I am sure I am not the only one that has experienced this. There is absolutely no excuse for a nasty public restaurant when there are at least 10-13 workers present. The manager on duty was scooping fries when should have been do other "manager" duties while 2 employees were standing around laughing.
I have never written a review before on a place of business, but after last night, it...
Read moreWe've never had a good experience at this McDonald's ever, but I think it's time I finally give my two cents. Service takes longer and longer every time we go and is just not up to par. Tonight I believe we hit a record 35 min for our food, the drink machine is always out of almost everything and tastes like garbage, food is not great and the attitude of the employees is unprofessional. I could write a book. This place needs new everything. If I could give it minus 5 stars I would. It doesn't even deserve the one star I'm required to give. When someone is standing at the counter, you acknowledge them...you don't ignore the customer - even if you are scheduled to leave. Giant rolling garbage bins that you are dumping nasty bathroom trashbags into as they are sitting inside the restaurant next to customer's tables while they're eating their food. Yuck. Those dumpster bins are gross and shouldnt be in the dining area while guests are eating, but they are and have been every single time we go. We got half of our order and it took forever to get us the rest of our food and by the time we ate, our dinner was cold. You people are something else and need to be retrained. I get it, it's a job, but have some standards. I've worked food service and this "bare minimum"...
Read moreMcDonald's in Rogersville is my least favorite place to eat, I only eat here whenever literally every other place in town is closed. During the day, the food can be alright, but if you go at night, you're extremely likely to be disappointed.
You ALWAYS have to tell them you want your food to be fresh while ordering or you'll get food that seems like it should've been thrown out instead of given to a customer.
Our order was a crispy chicken sandwich, value fries, large soda, a fruit and maple oatmeal, and 2 apple fritters. The oatmeal and the chicken sandwich were the only things in our order that was actually hot, the fries were brown, hard, and room temperature, and the apple fritters were flat out cold... When I went back through the drive-thru to tell them the fries seemed old, the young man gave attitude stating he'd put them down just before my first trip through. I think his manager stepped in because shortly after he stopped mid sentence to tell me to pull on through... They made it up by giving me fresh and hot fries. Would've been great if the apple fritters had been warm, but I used a microwave when I got home. The crispy chicken sandwich was good and the oatmeal is always...
