I've been visiting, and enjoying, this location for 7 years, and previously rated them 5 stars across the board. Not anymore... I went in this morning at 11:30am, and found that there were already three loud obnoxious drunks interfering with customers, including rude comments to myself and others. A white male and his Chinese wife walked in the door and within seconds these idiots were screaming across the room at them that they weren't "allowed" to be there. The manager and counter staff just watched. Did not throw out the drunks, did not make any attempts to make the couple feel welcome as they turned around and went back out to their car, obviously intimidated. Did not interject when the man came back in to confront the bigots alone and outnumbered. I was the only person there who went to give the man any visible support at all. In fact, when the drunks finally did leave, the counter staff made a point of thanking THEM and saying "see you tomorrow". Unfortunately this is 100 percent typical individual behavior in uber-conservative Rogue River, but the first time I've seen it so blatantly endorsed by a business. Lastly, I get my takeout pizza home only to find it burnt and inedible, so $40 completely wasted, along with years of loyal patronage. (Totally burnt crust image attached - this thing is hard as a rock!). Absolutely unacceptable, ignorant, uncaring failures all the way around. Please do not give this unprofessional place your business, I know I won't!

Just as delicious as always! Their prices are getting pretty high and they have taken some of my favorites off of the menu but they were willing to still make it. I started working here about 20 years ago and besides the gambling area it's pretty close to just as it was back then. I miss some of the menu items and pleasantly surprised this trip home from out of state they have gluten free crust now, it tastes good and available in two sizes. They are pretty spendy especially gluten free

Decided to give the local Abby's a try. Didn't have much luck at the one near our old house near Salem. We were hoping the a new local place would be different. It wasn't. Their special I believe was made in bulk and left for anyone who ordered it. We picked up within 10 mins of ordering. This pizza is easily over an hour old! And that is generous. It is old and cold. We live 1 mile away. Extremely disappointing! I guess we will go another 20 years with avoiding Abby's pizza.

I am a pizza guy from way back in the heyday of Shakey’s Pizza, and I felt the same overall positive experience dining at this Abby’s. We ordered a 10” Abby’s Special (identical to the Skakey’s Special: salami, pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, mushrooms, and olives) and 2 all-you-can-eat salads.

There was a trainee taking orders, and I was taken back to all the people I trained back then. We didn’t have to deal with computers then, and everyone was trained to make change on their own. We were patient, I hope, because we had been in his shoes before

The salad bar was filled with cold yet fresh ingredients. When I later went back for seconds, the salad bar was still well-stocked.

When our name was called (another Shakey’s flashback), I was struck by how much our pizza looked and then tasted compared to Shakey’s, and I mean that in a very positive way. The sausage seasoning appeared identical, and the pizza sauce led with that familiar oregano flavor too.

The 10” special and 2 salad bars were plenty for my wife and I. That part of the dining experience was like a great homecoming. On the other hand, during nearly an hour enjoying our pizza, salad, drinks, and football on a tv... not once did I see anyone come out to clear and bus tables. Patrons certainly were busy moving plates and cups and wiping tables down with napkins.

Perhaps the training of new staff kept the crew from attending to the dining area, but it shouldn’t. I really liked the food, and I really hope this review prompts this location to hit the tables...

It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review but in the last calendar year I have had one visit that had no issues, that’s right only one and that’s because I was the only one there. The last 4 times I’d gone in either the order was made wrong, they put my food on the oven to sit even though I had already paid, my name was never called out to go to the counter to get the food, or they just forgot to make it. I had worked there years ago so I understand mistakes can happen but the problems have been so consistent I finally have to do this. Then today I ordered some chicken and as I lift it off the other boxes to put it in my car the entire bottom falls out and chicken is all over the parking lot. I go back inside and immediately they ask “did the chicken fall out” and stated that this batch of boxes are terrible, this shows that they know there was a problem and do nothing to warn their customers, to their credit they did replace my order but not with the pieces I asked for. I’m not sure how they can consistently mess up some portion of every trip I’ve made but kudos, food is still good tho that’s why it get a...
