Gotta be honest about my experience. When I first came I had a cashier that was a female looked a little different than the others with hippy type tattoos, but younger in age. She stared at me as if I was something different. It was bothersome and apparent. I'm not sure as to really why someone would take such time looking that hard at a complete stranger, but to continue I realized maybe because I'm black there is am actual problem for her internally. (Racism perhaps?) Anyway so I waited about 40 minutes for my food that I ordered to go. I noticed that about 7 other people had gotten their orders after me even though I was there before them. Then a lady who must of been a supervisor came up to me and asked my name for my order and agreed as if she just noticed like I was waiting for awhile. I think I'm pretty obvious as a person sitting that long there being the only black person in there. She apologizes and asked if I wan't a drink I declined this offer and just laughed it off. Finally, about 10 minutes later here is my food... I left right after and then I proceeded to eat- well the food was just average I thought it would be authentic testing for the amount of time it took to make , but no it was just garbage- my 5 year old could have made it in half the time. Save yourself the grief- first: of feeling like your unwanted at an off at like establishment then secondly: served slow af and lastly: less than average taste in food. Spoil alert this place is less than average there's a spot right across the street that serves Hispanic food and I think that's the better option just by the treatment by this place. I will go there next time. And I bet their attitude won't be like that or I'm...
Read moreI come in and buy food all the time for my graduations spend about $150. For a while I was able to charge my card over the phone and There were no problems but the last two times I charge my card and the guy tells me it declined and then he charges it again and it went through twice. I figured that was a one time deal so I just let it go but today the same thing happened and I asked them can I just come in and pay because I don't want to get double charged again. I came in. They got on my case that normally they just charge over the phone for big orders and I said yeah but your guy doesn't know how to charge a card and they basically said too bad and told me I have to do it again next time over the phone. I just won't come here and they said OK so obviously they don't value their customers and treat them with respect. I'm a business owner if somebody was unhappy I would go out of my way to make sure the problem was rectified. Obviously, these people are millionaires and don't need any more customers. I will not...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start bragging about Don Julio’s! It was our first time visiting after reading that they were voted Best Burger in Sonoma County—and let me tell you, this is not your traditional burger.
Their burger is made with cheese-filled pupusas as the buns, and it is every bit as incredible as it sounds! We were greeted with a warm, “Hey guys, welcome in! Find a seat wherever you like and we’ll be right with you!” It felt like we’d been regulars for years, even though it was our first visit. The whole vibe was welcoming, laid-back, and family-friendly.
I ordered the Pupusa Burger with orange-marinated chicken, lettuce, pico, chipotle crema, and guacamole—OMG. The flavors were amazing! The chicken was super flavorful without being too citrusy, and the portion was so generous I couldn’t even finish it.
I also had the Michelagua—a refreshing mango-pineapple agua fresca with chamoy and Tajín. It was the perfect balance of sweet,...
