Again, I always love to come to locally owned restaurants where the owner has skin in the game and they wait on you. They serve you. They care about your experience. That being said, this rough gem meets all of those. Our food was wonderful or service was fabulous. The owner even sat down with us and we talked about Thai restaurants near where we live which is 55 miles from his restaurant. Our food was fresh. Tasty vegetables were still crunchy. The tom cost soup was the best I've ever had. The owner warned us about spice level because of Thai food being spicy and brought us varying heat levels of add-ons that we could boost our dish. As we wish. I will say that the atmosphere has someone else put in a comment that Martha Stewart went tie crazy lol. But it's very nice. Eclectic it's a great joy to sit and look at everything. We go to Rome frequently and now we have a new place to eat in Rome. I highly recommend you stop by. The crab rangoon and the Tom kaw soup were both fantastic. March 2025 Another visit to this great restaurant and everything was just fabulous. Here's some more pictures.

Updated review. Jasmine has changed owners and I've heard the curry was good. We went today. After sampling the curry, specifically the yellow curry (with the pineapple), I think I'm in love. It's probably the best curry I've ever had. It's thick with a rich and complex flavor. Quite amazing, really. The Tom Kha(sp?) Soup was unreal and bursting with flavor. It really was a pleasant surprise. If that's all I could eat the rest of my life, if be happy with that. Also had the Thai Basil Rolls. They are good, but the sauce isn't as good as it use to be. Much thinner and no peanuts in it. They have also worked on improving the dilapidated state of the building, but honestly, I don't care. I just want more of their curry. Old review. I'm not a Thai connoisseur, but all the dishes I've had have been very good, including the appetizers. The restaurant itself is a bit dilapidated.

We stopped by for a quick lunch, and we were able to seat ourselves immediately. The drink orders were taken as soon as we sat down and brought out to us just as quickly. The service was consistently like this for the time we were there. We got the steamed thai dumplings as an appetizer, and they were excellent! Definitely my favorite part of the meal. For our entrées, I got the garlic and black pepper chicken, with an included side of jasmine rice and my husband got the penang curry(also with rice), both were super flavorful and the chicken didnt have gristle or fat, which was a huge plus. Our drinks stayed full, and the staff was kind and attentive without being overbearing. I will absolutely be back!

First experience with Thai food, it was delicious! We've been returning customers ever since. I've not had anything that was unpalatable, but a word of warning if you've never eaten Thai food...I love hot spicy food, the first level of spicy made my eyes water, and the more you eat, the hotter it gets!! The service is exceptional as well as the food. The Pineapple fried rice is off the chain, one of my absolute favorites. Everything I've eaten so far has been scrumptiously good. I've learned start with "medium" first, then graduate up, if you can handle the heat. I will start posting pictures of the food as we continue to return. The Crab Rangoon appetizer...I've NEVER had it ANYWHERE as good as it is here!!! We've started eating here at least twice a month now and our goal is to eat every dish on the menu. The last order my husband ate the Salmon Teriyaki OMG, it was wonderful (Yes we try each other's entrees). I ordered the Panang Curry, delicious!!! As far as beverages go I recommend you try the Thai tea (cold) and if you love ginger the hot ginger tea is an absolute must! Our very first visit I had ordered a dish I can't recall the name of and it was so hot and spicy my nose was running, my eyes watered, I wanted to cry, our "neighbor" diners told us to order the Thai tea because it helps to diminish the hot, so now you know, lol, I didn't! I ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken as a replacement and my John took the hot dish home for his lunch the next day, he loved it! Listen to your server!! If she advises you to go medium first, you BETTER, I didn't and it literally set me on fire! If you are looking for a delicious meal, that's all you'll get here, highly recommend...

One of two Thai restaurants in Rome Georgia, Jasmine Thai is located in West Rome, on the bypass. And while I've tried their establishment multiple times, it's always been a disappointment. First off is the ambiance. There is a certain charm to hole in the wall places with great food coming out of a sketchy looking building, but Jasmine Thai lacks even a hint of charm. If you stop in during the summer, the first thing you'll notice is it's hot and humid. A stagnant air covers the restaurant, and everything seems moist, including the worn booths with cracked seats. There's a TV on the wall that is usually tuned into CBS, and they advertise free Wifi (With purchase of Entree) but I've never tried it.

The coke is always flat, no carbonation at all. I don't know if it's a problem with their fountain or what, but it's always flat and they know it. Two and a half years punctuated my trips to their but it's always been disappointing. I ordered Tom Kha soup, but what I got was chewy, overcooked chicken, with tomatoes and onions. The broth was good, but it was way too rich for the creamy deliciousness the dish is supposed to...
