Fat Ricky's has been a cornerstone of the town of Romeoville since they first opened their doors. Since my family and I have lived in Romeoville for close to 20 years now, I can safely say that we have had the distinct pleasure to sample their menu on more than one occasion. The food has always been on the high end of the spectrum, in my opinion. Not only do they have a decent variety but, it's made from quality ingredients. You can taste the difference. Care is put into whatever they're making you. As far as prices unfortunately, as with everywhere else, they have gone up to keep up with the ever-rising cost of living. That being said, I believe they still have maintained a reasonable, cost-effective menu. I do know food critics have spoken highly of Fat Ricky's and the pizza had won multiple awards. The pizza sauce they use is sweeter which some ppl don't care for. I personally love it. I also love the famous "Home Run" burger, in its' 1 pound of total 100% beef patty glory. The chicken parm sandwich is also one of my personal favorites. This good sized sandwich uses 100% chicken breast meat, smothered in their sauce and, topped with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese. They do have several specials like a pizza special that gives you 2 huge pieces of cheese, sausage or, pepperoni and a can of soda. Perfect for lunch. I've never felt as though their service was slow or showed anything less than 100% customer satisfaction being their ultimate goal and top priority. This, being whether you are in the dining room or, the drive thru. I would also like to address how they are seemingly always trying to improve. For example, the first building they were in, does not even remotely compare to the recently built location literally yards away from their original spot. The decor inside is very tasteful and Italian. The restaurant is always clean and well-kept. Finally, I will state that the people working here are genuinely good people; from the kids that go to school and work part time to the upper management and owners. I will say my neighbor/friends have worked there for several years without complaint. Currently, my daughter works there and I have the unique perspective to say, they even treat their employees well. All in all, if you haven't made the trip to Fat Ricky's, I most definitely...
Read moreThis Italian Restaurant is a standout in providing a vast array of scrumptionsly delicious offerings, one would want to dine here everyday. One could eat here pretty much every day of the month and never have the same meal twice in a word the menu is expansive. I dine here frequently even tho it's location is in the NE of town and I live in the SW(exact opposite corners of town) it is always well worth the trip.
Our recent trip for the Easter Brunch was simply a delight in both cuisine and ambiance.
The gracious owner Ricky was on hand to provide us with a warm welcome and attend to our every dining need. This type of personal attention by an owner is exemplary in our dining experience, unmatched and greatly appreciated. Both Bernadette & Brenda our dining room hosts were spot on with the excellent service they provided, paying prompt attention voluntarily, without our request, to our every dining need. A special thank you for the professional Manger Kiesha for our reservation planning arrangements & Beverage Host Aubrey for her talented assistance.

Read moreNot sure where I start with the review of Fat Ricky's in Romeoville. We had a baptism luncheon there this past Sunday and we'll never have a party there again. Appetizers were supposed to be out at 2:30 when guests started to arrive but those weren't put out until 3:00. Food was originally supposed to be out at 3:00 or 3:15 until one of the servers asked if they could get the food out at 3:30. Food wasn't out until 3:40. Let me add that I upped the package by adding the appetizers, wine and coffee "service". By the way, their "coffee service" consisted of them filling up a coffee container with coffee and us serving ourselves. Was also told they would cut and serve the cake we brought in. They cut the cake and I SERVED IT! I have had many parties at other establishments in Plainfield and pop and coffee were ALWAYS included. Since I added the coffee "service " that increased my package price from $13.00 to $15.00 per person. Since I was spending all this extra $$$ I asked the manager Marsha if they could knock off price of soda (which I know doesn't cost $4.99 a pitcher since my husband used to own his own restaurant)! Marsha told me she'd talk to the other manager Kenny, which she never did. Get to the restaurant and the most they could do was knock $15 off....are you kidding me?? To top this all off this non-existent manager Marsha pulls me on the side and tells me my husband put his hands on the shoulders of one of her servers and tells her "Do you understand what I'm telling you?" Are you serious?? A complete insult to my husband, especially since my brother witnessed exactly what happened. Their servers were clearly not prepared for our party and this establishment was not equipped to handle our small party. The only reason this place received two stars was because the food was decent. We'll be planning my grandsons 1st birthday in June and we DEFINITELY won't be...
