Sushi Train Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Romeoville

First time having Sushi and when seen the groupon and thought a great time to try it. I had taken with me my husband, mother in law, sister in law and her three kids. Just happened when looking up address that you needed reservations. We walked in and was impressed with the decor.. A women asked me right away did we have reservations and I said yes. She pointed to a table close by. I had never had worse service ever. She never smile. Since none of us had Sushi before we wasn't sure what to get knowing none of us wanted raw .... She came by three time and asked if we was ready. When we said no she never asked could she help up or explain anything.The last time she came bu I had said we never had Sushi can you tell me what what was in the seafood soup and said I don't like raw fish. She said only crab meat and shrimp. It did have others when I got it including raw eel. My husband and I was sharing. She tried to take before it was empty she asked if she could take and I said no and with out looking my husband said yes.. I then said no it not finished.. When she went to take it and i said no she raised her voice and started to argue he said I could. The food was ok and it was very costly.. and The waitress ruined my first experience... How sad.. If I was alone with my husband I would of made it knows how bad she was but didn't want to raise a mess and...

The other reviews do not lie. Food is pretty good (not spectacular but good) but the service is absolutely HORRIBLE!

My husband and I got to the restaurant around 9:30PM (30 min before closing) and ordered our food right away to ensure we leave before/at 10 PM. As I was finishing my last roll, the waiter walked up to us and said we had to leave now because they are closing. Mind you it was 9:55... He stood by our table and waited for us to get up and leave. I worked in the food industry before and, yes, it sucks when you get last minute customers but the custom is you stay and wait for them to finish eating. Plus, we were about to leave anyways and did not plan on staying any longer. The waiter did not offer a box for the remaining of my food and gave us dirty looks.

As we were leaving, the lady in short hair and our waiter started speaking in foreign language and laughing. Of course, I believed they were talking/laughing about us.

This was definitely the worst experience I had in a long time. I will not be back....

The service was HORRIBLE!!! We spent $100 and had to beg for attention and the waitress openly complained about her tip on the $ 100 that she didn't work for(the only time I've tip less than $25). We waited 40 mins. for drinks!! When we asked for someone else to find our waitress she said we weren't her section. The only time we got attention was the first time we went there which was an hour before closing and they stood at the table rushing us. My husband asked for a tea and they told him "no more hot water"...really!! They sat us... but we felt rushed so bad within 15mins. of the food hitting the table we left and took our food home. After three tries we are done. We are looking for a new place for sushi. Too bad bc each time we spent at least $100 and we always tip GREAT, i use to be a waitress but i just can't, enough is enough!!! They ruined my b-day and this Valentine's Day plus another date night and that was all within one month. Service was never...
