They served me burnt food!!! I called to complain and someone transferred me to I'm guessing the cook and her name is Dean. I told her about the problem, that the tofu that was in the pad Thai was burnt and she responded with an attitude was "okaaaaayyyyy, it's just a couple of pieces and if you want you can come back and I will make it again" And I was like, you mean to say that you're going to charge me money to eat burnt food?!!! How about cooking the food right the first time around!!! And who wants to come back after getting home from work!!! Clearly they don't care how they cook and serve their food when it's take out because you don't really see it anyway until you get home!!! They just want your money!!! They charge you a lot but their portion is getting smaller and smaller. I'm not going back to this place again!!!!
This is the next day: Glass in the food!!!! I ordered to go food, shrimp pad Thai for me (which was burnt), curry chicken fried rice for my son and chicken padthai for my daughter. She had some left overs and she wanted to eat it for dinner so I reheat her food and I had some as well. I was in the middle of eating when I bit something hard so I spit it out. It was a freaking glass!!!! I then called my daughter and I asked if she ate something hard and she said Yes,( she's 5 )and she said it was just some hard noodles. And of course I called the restaurant back the only reply is "Oh really!!!" I had to call her doctor and all I could do is monitor her and watch her stool to make sure is not black :( I just hope she did not swallow a big piece of glass. Never ever I will come back or have my family, friends and even my worst enemy come...
Read moreBeen going to this place for a while, moved to Chicago after the airports shut down during covid in 2020 for better career opportunity. I have traveled all over the country and I have a wide reference for a lot of flavors and tastes and various cuisines. That being said, this place is great although it is small. The woman there that I mostly see, and I think it may be a small family run thai restaurant, is always super nice it feels like I am eating with family coming home to reunion over holiday. She is so sweet, and the food is even better, great service and a great price, it is also convenient being right next to north and south bound on/off ramps next to the Romeoville village hall. Everything is good here, I have tried all of the curries and my husband goes for the pad thai/ see ew, and the various appetizers like the egg rolls are perfectly crispy— and everything is delicious all around— that I don’t think you can go wrong with any dish. I honestly don’t know how more people don’t know about this place. The place itself is very homey and clean, quiet, and organized. Even if you don’t live near Romeoville, make sure to drop by some time for some comfort food that smells, tastes, and is served like you’re family, even if yours is far away.
(my attached photo is the takeout we got— a combination me and my husband usually do where we try each other’s dishes, so I got the massamun curry and he the lad nar, with egg roll on top.)
They also have various drinks which are really good, anything from tea to boba, etc. My only regret is not...
Read moreThis is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to.
Immediately after sitting down, my partner fell to the ground because his chair broke. The employee didn’t even acknowledge it or apologize until we said something. Finally they gave him a new chair, but imagine if someone elderly had been sitting there. They could have gotten seriously injured!!
We ordered Tom Yum soup ($10) and Mantzaman curry ($20). It was awful. The tom yum tasted like it was powdered and it was way too salty with little other distinctive flavors. My partner’s dish was also salty and unappetizing. They served it with incredibly dry rice. For that price, I find this to be insane! When asked how the food was, I decided to be honest and admit that I did not like it. Our waitress immediately got defensive and tried to tell me that restaurants have different ways of making Tom Yum, and basically tried to snatch the soup away and “graciously” tell me that she’d remove it from the bill. The whole situation was unnecessarily hostile. When I got frustrated about this, she threw her hands into the air and said fine, the entire bill is free, and walked away.
We didn’t finish another bite of our food and walked out. We’ve never had to do that at a...
