Kowloon Restaurant — Restaurant in Roseburg

I dont know how this place passes health inspections. Every time ive eaten their food something is always wrong with one or more of their dishes. You will be on the toilet for awhile after their food, and you'll regret it. The service is terrible. Place will be empty and it will take 40+ minutes to get your food. Owner is very rude and acts like it's your fault when they mess up a dish, which they always do. Dont bother asking to hold or add something to a dish because they wont do it. Atmosphere is dirty and grimey. The food itself is the worst chinese in Roseburg hands down. If you like a nice classy restaurant this isnt it. Kowloons is an old dirty restaurant and you know this from the moment you walk in just off of the smell alone. Only time i go here is in a group and someone in the group will choose it, which baffles me because the food is absolutely terrible. I've lived in many states and this is probably the one restaurant that confuses me the most because i dont understand how its still in business. I suppose the people that frequent this place probably have very low standards and dont know the difference in good food and bad food and will probably eat anything in front of them, which makes a lot of sense because the people around you in there look like overweight slobs who havent showered in weeks while they wear pajamas, flip flops and tank tops to a sit down restaurant. Food was cold, seemed to have had been sitting somewhere for hours, was barely reheated & served to me. My request to have it go back & be heated up via microwave, was met with an apology from our very nice server. It came back out a bit warmer, but it obviously wasn't made fresh. What I ordered was the chefs special today too! Blah! My Mar Far Chicken was drenched in grease & my dining partner's shrimp was almost deep fried to a total burnt degree, drenched in grease, yet the batter closet to the shrimp body was almost raw, my pan fried noodles with veggies & bbq pork were dried out, rice was semi ok. Tea was lukewarm. The one thing I will say however is they have the BEST Egg Drop Soup of all the places I have ever had it. Full of tender chicken, peas, zucchini, carrots, egg, broth fresh hot & not salty. I liked it SO much I ordered a quart to go, paid for it & the nice gal went back to get it for me, came back to me & said, "we ran out of soup" & refunded my $. Our lady server & this gal were both EXTREMELY nice & sweet. I dunno if our food is indicative of what the food is like here, but if I'm ever in Roseburg again, I won't eat here, but I shall order quarts of egg drop soup to go & hope they aren't out...

Went in to the banquet room for a party and my goodness that place was not right. First of all the carpet was somehow sticky and stained so bad that when the carpet was moved over I was able to see the carpet used to be pink; however it’s brown now. Second, the table and chairs were SO sticky that I literally couldn’t pick up my receipt from the table. Third, I’m not even joking, I killed 3 ants that were on the table, and then I found an ant in the sugar container. I went to put some sugar in my tea and by golly there’s an ant crawling around in the sugar container. Luckily it crawled out and I still used the sugar lol. Also the tea container was leaking and left a decent sized puddle of tea on the table. I gave this place a second chance bc I remember it being so good, but geez this was actually a comically terrible experience. It was entertaining though with my group making fun of how sticky everything was and how many ants I killed (3). I can’t go back, I don’t get grossed out by much but I’ll tell ya, the sticky everything and the ants, plus the food being not great, I just won’t be going back.
