Splitz Family Grill — Restaurant in Roseburg

We had an office party planned and were told we could extend our time on site if needed. However, tonight, when we went to the front desk to ask for a time extension for our company party, we were told that the lanes were fully booked and there was nothing they could do and no extension would be granted. We advised them that we were told that we could extend per the employee that answered our call and made the reservation a few weeks ago, but they said the employee no longer worked at the bowling alley and that it wasn't their fault. They seemed flustered and irritated that we were upset that our company party was being cut short for means outside of our control. We had just received our food about 20 minutes before the end of the hour. We were also told that we didn't have to place our food order early as it would only take about 15 minutes to get our food but were told, at the counter, that we would have to wait 45 minutes. Had we known that it would actually have been 45 instead of 15 minutes we would have placed the food order well in advance to have ready at the beginning of our party. We sadly had to end our party early. Altogether, it appears that Ten Down Bowling and Splitz is not willing to accommodate larger groups and doesn't adequately train their employees on how to reserve and book parties and doesn't have their entire team on the same page when it comes to business organizational skills. It might be nice to have one person in charge of parties so items like this don't fall through the cracks. We went on a double date here Friday night. Bowled for an hour and then came to the restaurant side to eat. We were seated very quickly and our drink order was taken after about 5 to 10 minutes. Waitress brought the drinks and she took our order. We then waited 40 to 50 minutes and no one came and checked on us. It was Friday night but the restaurant had mostly cleared out by then, because we were all hungry I found a waitress and asked her if she knew about our food or how much longer it would be. I wasn't sure where our waitress was so I just asked the first employee I could find. Within 10 minutes our food was brought out, our waitress had checked on us and all was good. For some reason at this point the original waitress I had gone to find came over and told us that she heard we were mad when we came in and had grabbed someone to take our drink order as soon as we sat down. This isn't what happened and if the waitresses want to talk bad behind our backs that's totally fine, but it is unacceptable that she would then come over and throw this back on us because they were feeling a way about not doing their jobs correctly. If she hadn't come over and said that I wouldn't have complained at all. I did call and talk to Rick the kitchen manager, and he's wonderful. Give Rick a raise. OK restaurant, the food itself was good, we had the pulled pork on a pretzel bun and it was great, however the Philly cheese steak was on a not as fresh hoagie bun and just tasted bland. We sat the bar, and I was not impressed with the service. 2 gals working, waiting on a man to arrive for his shift, they talked loudly to each other about he's probably late again, down gambling his money away, which immediately put us off. It took a while for them to serve us, as they stood in the cubby area near the server shelf and texted away on their phones. Once the man arrived, his attention was not on the customer's needs, and he'd talk away, essentially to knowone who was listening. The gals looked just miserable and clearly didn't want to be working, which very showed, as they let our drinks go dry and didn't check on us, I actually had to ask them for our check. Again we're at the bar. There were only 2 other people there and about 4 tables in the main area taken up. Not busy. Aside from the horrible service, the atmosphere was always bland, it felt like sitting in an open garage with little to look at and no decor. Not impressed at all.
