So…. I had not been at Frenchy’s in a few years, so decided to stop by for drink or 2 on my way home. My 1st round was ok I guess. Went back for a second round, and I was served club soda and cranberry. Now, for $11 a drink, I expect to at least taste the vodka. 2nd round was pure club soda. I went back and asked if they could add a little more vodka. I was told that I was given a double shot (yeah… double shot of club for sure) So, they added more vodka in front of me, and charged me an additional $12. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I should’ve just said forget it, but I refused to pay $11 a glass for club soda, so I paid it. It’s a dive bar for god’s sake, nothing more. Moral of the story, even tho I live in town, stick to what works, best to go out of town to my regular spots. So much for trying something new and away from my normal routine. I guess I’m just annoyed that I was made to pay an extra $12, after I had already paid $22, and in the end, it still tasted like soda. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Stopped in on a whim. There weren't many people inside, and the waitress Jess was cool as shit, told us that Frenchy's is known for their pizza and meatballs. No bottled beer, just tap and cans (maybe it was just at this time). Ordered the pizza with pepperoni, well done, the buffalo wings, and the disco fries. Pizza was phenom... the sauce was great and cooked as asked. The buffalo wings came with sauce on the side and were breaded and fried, and they were tasty as well. The disco fries didn't have too much gravy, and it was real melted cheese, not that liquid cheese (a plus in my book). Fun fact: Jess and another patron who frequented the place said that a part of the movie 'The Wrestler' was filmed there. The part with the stripper as a matter of fact. I would stop in again if up that way.

Great local spot for drinks and food, with tons of TVs and all the sports, plus a cool little outdoor seating area. Has its own parking lot too. The food was pretty great, we had a small bar pie that had good flavor and crunch, and the disco fries were awesome. They're curly fries, which is great. Good service too, basic tap list but the domestics are $3 all day every day?? Sign me up. Live music on Fridays too, would definitely go back.

Well, in fairness I didn't get to try their food. Are there other dive bars in the area that happen to be among my very favorite? Yup. But this is a nice, friendly spot in its own right, I do plan on stopping back again to experience a bite sometime and not just a drink like last time, and I can at least say that if you were passing by and decided, "Let's stop in here for a beer!", you will not have made a wrong decision and will walk away considering it a positive experience. Especially if you're a local or regularly in the area, stop in,...
