Went to Four Sisters for my wife's birthday breakfast. She wanted to try it out since we always see a lot of people here. We'll I'll start with my meal, the four sisters omelets (figure it has the same name so should be a signature dish right?). First off, the menu here is different from your regular chain breakfast diners, and that's okay, different can be good! The omelet was interesting to say the least (not in a bad way). I did however mess ir up from the beginning going on auto pilot as I love Ketchup and hot sauce on my omelets, but I forgot there's a over-medium egg in the middle. My wife says it tasted better without it and I would agree, but it didn't taste bad with. The toast was nice and buttery with strawberry jam that I appreciate wasn't the same old smuckers jam from single use plastic cups. The rice however, was beyond mushy (used way too much water to cook). I like rice with my omelets but I couldn't eat this as the texture just was way off.
My wife ordered the fancy pants sandwich and loved it. She loved the greasy bacon, with the runny over medium egg, and seasoned sourdough bread (she especially loved the sourdough!). The white cheddar cheese was a bit odd as it stuck to the bread and looked like processed cheese (or aged which isn't good for melting but maybe not what they were going for?), but my wife enjoyed the flavor of it. The arugula brought a freshness to all the greasiness which she definitely appreciated having the contrast, but there was a lot of arugula on the sandwich (yes she took some off and it can come down to taste preference) but overall no complaints from her. The potatoes were cooked exceptionally well and seasoned very very excellently. They're cooke different than most other places (with herbs and seasoning different too), she had no complaints
The prices were a bit high for the amount of food you receive but worth it if you're tired of the same thing from every other breakfast diners who have the same old boring food. Overall 4.5 out of 5 stars for us....
ย ย ย Read moreThe omelets were fluffy however they had hardly any filling. I ordered a omelet my way. Which was just ham cheese and mushrooms, with avocado on top. The mushrooms tasted as if they cam from a can and the cook tried to sautรฉ them, yuck! ๐คฎ There wasn't very much ham and it was dices so small that you couldn't even taste it. Pretty much all I tasted was cheese and egg. Would NOT order again. My side of biscuits and gravy was at bet mediocre. Biscuits and gravy are not on the menu however you can order them upon request. The gravy itself, was thin with very little meat in it. Again not the greatest. This place has come highly recommended so I took the opportunity to try it for myself and was severely let down. For the price point I could definitely go to several different places and get better food. Now the service was great. There was a 30 minute wait, which for going during a brunch time, was not terrible. Upon being seated I and my company was brought out drinks swiftly. Which was just water and coffee. They were on top of making sure out cups were full at all times as well as not being rushed out after we finished our food. So the highlight of this restaurant is the service. I seen most people leaving with to go plates and it was not because the potions are to large. Most people were speaking amongst themselves about how the quality of the food had severally declined. As for the food well you could and would get better food at a Dennys or IHOP. Hope...
