Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Roseville

First time being to this location me and my fiance have been to the other location antelope I really liked it got the breakfast Burger it was amazing we ordered the fried green tomatoes spicy ranch two orders of the ribeye and one order of the kids chicken strips so when we got our order my stepdaughter didn't have her fries both are steaks were not even close to the word rare we asked for medium rare and they were completely black and blue on the inside beside it look like it got steamed like they try to steam the steak fast there's no way to cook steak fast just throw it on the grill and let it do it thing they never brought us our green fried tomatoes really sad but I didn't want to mention at this point because our steaks were screwed up plus our daughter's fries I asked for the steaks to taking off her bill the manager ended up coming over and talking to us explaining that the server may have hit the wrong button but he still said the wrong temperature he said the state came out medium rare it was not it was black and blue I'm a professional cook been cooking steaks for many years so is my fiance didn't want to sit there and explain to the manager but I was happy that he came to our table offered us some bandits and to pay for an entire breakfast which was pretty cool unfortunately the bennetts were all so pretty terrible you could tell that they were heated up in the microwave I used to make those on the line fresh for people they go straight into the fryer they were not crispy whatsoever almost chewy and hot which I'm what a microwave does to bread definitely don't recommend this location but the other location antelope definitely recommend it thank you for taking the time to read my...

Unfortunately have had two rough experiences at this location compared to the others we have been to. Our first experience was that the stuffed french toast had this very weird earthy taste compared to when we’ve gotten it at other locations. Something was just off with it that day but we aren’t the kind of people to send food back because it’s a waste.

The other experience I had was for a pickup order. I called and was told that it would be 10-15 minutes. I got there about 20 minutes later and noticed a to-go back sitting at the front. They asked for my name and I gave it to them and the lady proceeded to the kitchen to check on the order. She came back and told me it wasn’t quite ready yet. I then waited for 30 more minutes until a different lady asked if I had been helped yet. That new lady then checked the bag THAT WAS ALREADY THERE when I arrived and told me that it was ready. She also said that “it just came out” which when looking back was a flat out lie since I was waiting by the host area for the entire time. It’s just a bummer that the first person didn’t check the bag. I paid $30 + tip (yes I tipped even after this mess up :/) for food that had been sitting there for 40+ minutes. It’s such a first world problem thing, but the food isn’t exactly cheap and the fact that they lied to me when I saw that bag there the entire time just blows my mind. Customers are more observant than you think. I’ll likely go back to the Fairway Dr location since they have never given us a poor experience, but it’s a shame since this location is much closer.

We have seen this place for a while, but never got around to coming in. Well today, was the day! We were very pleasantly surprised! First impressions, was it was super cute on the inside, decor was bayou themed, and there was a soft sound of crickets super cute.

Our waiter, Alex was prompt, polite, funny and charming. Made us feel welcomed and at home immediately. Explained the menu perfectly, and was patient with our kids. Definitely went the extra mile, and brought back the definition of EXCELLENT customer service that has been lacking in general in the world for a while. Best service I have had in the past 2 years anywhere, great job ALEX!

The food! Was great, prepared promptly, served hot and was good. In general I don’t think it’s my type of cuisine, I’m not a huge breakfast fan, but what we had was definitely on par with most breakfast joints. My favorite that we had was the fried green tomatoes. I liked that there were some different options in the Cajun variety to try. The kids meal is an absolute amazing value! My daughter was so excited and happy with how big her plate was of food. She loved it all!
